Wild Edge Retreat is a sleek contemporary retreat offering four elevated spa and pool pavilions two hours drive north of Sydney in the Hunter Valley. Set amongst a secluded forest - high on a mountaintop with spectacular views. Two of the four pavilions offer a private pool set in a timber deck. Each Pavilion offers luxuriously appointed rooms and furnishings with the highest quality of fabrics and designs and vogue style decor. All spa and pool pavilions are fully air-conditioned and feature an open plan bedroom and living area. Bathrooms have a two person oval spa, twin vanities and separate shower. Wood fires, DVD, Bose stereo system and LCD flat screen televisions and BBQ's and sun lounges on the outdoor decks of each Pavilion are just some of the other inclusions offered. | Getting There |
From Sydney: Cross the Harbour Bridge and follow the Pacific Highway towards Hornsby. At Wahroonga take the F3 Freeway towards Newcastle. You will travel on the F3 for approximately 25 minutes. After crossing the Hawksbury River take the Peats Ridge/Calga exit. At Peats Ridge, take the left turn to Wollombi. Follow this road for approximately 50 minutes. At the Wollombi Tavern, turn right and travel 1.2km and turn right into Narone Creek Road. Travel along this unsealed road for 2.3km and then turn left, indicated by the Wild Edge Retreat sign. Travel along this unsealed private road for 2.8km until you reach the top of the ridgeline. From Newcastle and North: Take the New England Highway west and follow signs to Cessnock. At Cessnock continue straight on and follow the signs to Wollombi. Just prior to entering the township of Wollombi turn left into Narone Creek Road and travel 2.3km until you reach a left-hand turn indicated by the Wild Edge Retreat sign. Travel along this private road for 2.8km until you reach the top of the ridgeline. |
