Berenbell's architecture captures the essence of colonial charm with its elegant country homestead, Lodge and Cottages which all face the view. Away from the hustle and bustle of busy roads, this is the perfect location for a romantic weekend, or for a group of friends to meet. Grey kangaroos can be seen feeding at dusk and early morning on the rolling lawns which are studded with the fine stands of large eucalypt trees. Wine tasting, horse riding, cheese factory, beer brewery and some of Pokolbin's most popular restaurants are just a leisurely stroll down Mistletoe Lane. Classic Hunter accommodation set on approx 12 acres from which you will enjoy magnificent views of rolling vineyards and the rugged Brokenback range. For your stay, Berenbell offers large comfortable and welcoming One Bedroom Cottages & Two Bedroom Lodges which are decorated with a classic country ambience. Berenbell's one bedroom Cottages are traditional Australian Colonial style beautifully proportioned brick buildings with tiled verandahs front and back. Architectural features include cedar bay window in the lounge room and quaint curved iron verandah roof. Positioned to capture the stunning views over the vineyards to the Brokenback range and with hedges between to provide privacy, the Cottages are the perfect venue for a couple to enjoy a relaxing romantic escape. The Cottages are identical in layout and have three rooms: Lounge, dining, kitchen. Bedroom with queen size bed. Spacious ensuite with claw foot bath and separate shower. Verandah front and back. Facilities: - Wood fire for winter - TV, CD stereo, DVD player - Microwave - Hot plates - Iron and ironing board - Hair dryer - Reverse cycle air-conditioning - Ceiling fans - Sofa bed in lounge room (suitable for 1 extra guest) - Bed linen, towels and toiletries provided - Cooking utensils, toaster, electric kettle - Plunger coffee and tea provided - BBQ - Car parking space at rear of Cottage The Lodge is a two storey traditional Australian Colonial style brick building which has tiled ground level verandahs all round and dormer windows in the upstairs bedrooms. The vineyard and Brokenback range views from this building are unsurpassed. There are two separate beautifully appointed apartments in the Lodge building which are perfect for groups of family and friends. Lodge Apartment layout: Downstairs: Spacious lounge, dining kitchen. Bedroom, queen size bed, ensuite. Upstairs: Bedroom, king size bed, ensuite with shower for 2. There are 2 separate beautifully appointed apartments in the Lodge. Rates are for 4 people. Extra adults $50.00. Extra children $20.00.
