Club Tropical Resort has 51 spacious suites. Room types include self contained studio double, studio twin, 1, 2, 3 & 4 bedroom apartments. Port Douglas is aproximately 50 minutes north of Cairns by road. We can organise low cost coach transfers or you can splash out and enjoy the fabulous coastal views from the back of a luxury limousine. Alternatively, if driving your own car or rental car, you will find us at the Northern end of Macrossan Street on your right opposite the Courthouse Hotel. |

From the palm fringed expanse of magnificent Four Mile Beach to the wilderness of Dickson Inlet, the picturesque township offers old fashioned charm, wide shady streets, an extensive choice of restaurants, art galleries, shops, The Famous Sunday Markets and the Marina Mirage. All a stones throw from club tropical resort. More than 100 day tour options depart from Port Douglas daily. Visitors can see the Daintree Rainforest, Bloomfield Falls, Mossman Gorge, the Atherton Tablelands, Cairns or Cooktown by coach or 4-wheel drive. Port Douglas is the closest mainland point to the Outer Great Barrier Reef and Low Isles. Departing from the Marina Mirage, sailing boats, high-speed catamarans, cruising and dive vessels, all offer access to exploring the reef and its underwater world of colourful marine life and coral. The Great Barrier Reef has over 2,600 individual reefs and about 300 islands. It is the largest complex of coral reefs in the world. The tropical waters provide excellent conditions for comfortable and relaxed diving and snorkelling all year round. Nestled in the bend of the Daintree River is the quiet, unspoilt Daintree Village. There are several river cruise companies operating along the River whose experienced guides introduce the curious visitor to bird, wildlife and crocodile spotting. The Daintree Rainforest World Heritage Area contains the oldest, continuously surviving rainforests on earth. They have been in existence for more than 100 million years. Scientific research, has now led to the importance of the rainforest, mangroves and the delicate balance of plant and animal life being understood. Unknown plants are still being discovered and medical researchers are finding rare properties within many rainforest plants. This is our last chance to preserve the oldest surviving rainforest in the world! |
