Quoted in various guides (The Petit Futé: best 1001 French hotels and the Where to ski and snowboard guide) Chalet Liberty Mont Blanc is a comfortable and convivial two star hotel. Frédérick, Olivier and its warm team welcome all guests for holidays, short break or over night stay. Established in 1905, it has been renovated in 2008 in a contemporary style with a Savoyard touch. The Liberty benefits from its location 250 metres from the cable cars (Evasion Mont Blanc 445 km of slopes), the Ice ring, the hiking paths and 5-10 min walk from the centre of the village. The hotel will suit you whether you come for your all years around activities such as hiking, paragliding or thermal spa, winter sport holidays with skiing, snowboarding, snow shoe excursion… or the summer mountains activities: alpinism, climbing, mountain biking, cycling, rafting… 26 cosy bedrooms, which can accommodate one to four adults or a family, all decorated with an Alpin rustic style, will make your stay comfortable. The rooms are equipped with shower/bath, WC, phone, Flat screen TV (19’ in the double room 26’ in the triple / quad room, one 19’ and one 26’ in the suite) with DVD with MP3 satellite channel and balcony for most of the east, south & west facing ones. The liberty restaurant has a panoramic view of the fiz mountain range and the village of Saint Gervais with its baroque church We serving Savoyard specialities (Raclette, Fondu & Tartiflette) and traditional French cuisine prepared by our Chef Stéphane Domergue. Situated at 250 m. of the cable car which give you access to the Evasion Mont Blanc domain with 445km of ski slope it is the same area than the chic resort of Megeve. Particularity of Saint Gervais with the Tramway du Mont Blanc you can acces to the Prarion ski area to ski on the famous ‘Piste Verte des Houches’ use every year for a world cup skiing competition. The freeriders might prefer ‘Les Contamines’ part of Evasion Mont Blanc where every year you have a world cup freeride competition at that period the hotel is the home of the Swiss team generally. However, is not just an area for skiing or snowboarding the other winter activities are hiking, cross-country skiing, Mountain Bike on snow, paragliding with skis, Sledge dog, excursion on the Tramway du Mont Blanc : the highest train in France awaits to take you on a marvelous trip to the foot Mont Blanc. In summer, most of the cable car are opens for hiking or mountain biking on the summit of the mountains with the top of Europe in font of you. Others summer activities are rafting, paragliding, climbing, alpinism. Of course has a spa town why not to be pampered when you coming from a hard day of skiing or hiking shuttle can pick you at the hotel. And finally, it is a good spot for sight seeing tradition alpine village such as Megève, Chamonix with the Mer de Glace and Aiguille du Midi, Annecy with its lake, Yvoire the medieval village on the Leman lake, one of the most beautiful village of France. |
