Remedial/relaxation massage 60mins/$80 Skin is the largest organ of the body, packed with nerve endings that react to and reflect what is going on in our lives. Deluxe spa pedicure 60mins/$75 Our feet really take a beating and are often the most neglected parts of our body, despite all the hard work they do. Enjoy a wonderful pedicure that will return your feet to softness, while you relax. Choose from a range of fashionable nail polishes to show off your ‘sandal ready’ feet (optional). Deluxe spa manicure 60mins/$75 Thank your hands for all their hard work and relax as you enjoy a wonderful massage, nail shaping and polish (optional). Nothing says ‘well-groomed’ like hands that have nails and cuticles that have been revived by this indulgent treatment. Hydrotherapy spa 60mins/$35 per person Feel like you are soaking in hot springs… thousands of years ago ancient civilizations used natural hot springs for their supposed curative powers. Today, science has demonstrated that hydrotherapy uses the body's response to the combination of heat, water, buoyancy, and massage to treat conditions such as aches, tension or stress. Immersion in warm water raises body temperature, causing blood vessels to dilate and circulation to improve. Better circulation results in better release of toxins, promoting a healthier immune system. Hydrotherapy also stimulates the release of endorphins, the body's natural pain blockers, which also boost the immune system, relieve pain and reduce stress. Healthwave infra-red sauna 45mins/$30 per person Relax and listen to music or watch a DVD while you sweat, thus releasing toxins and fatty acids. Far Infrared (FIR) is absorbed deep into our bodies, down to a much deeper level than traditional saunas, where toxins and fatty acids are stored. This results in a much deeper and more concentrated sweat, generally around three times as much as that experienced in a traditional sauna. This deep sweat forces the release of toxins much more efficiently. A FIR sauna can expel up to 21% toxins - up to 7 times more effective than a traditional sauna. Ear candling 60mins/$65 Many ancient cultures used ear candles to help relieve a variety of ailments affecting the ear. The treatment is so relaxing that there is a tendency to fall asleep. We use only pure beeswax & 100% unbleached cotton. Eating & drinking Breakfast When you are enjoying a break away from the everyday, you don’t want to have to get up early to have breakfast… that’s what you do everyday! At Venus Bay Getaways, we serve breakfast at your convenience – not ours – so you can choose to eat early to make the most of the day, or wander downstairs later, as we serve breakfast from 9-10.30am. Choose to eat in the restaurant, or enjoy dining while you soak up the sun on the decks. This is a special meal, with the wonderful aroma of di Bella coffee, the golden yolks of Annie’s Free Range Eggs – extra special with our Eggs Benedict, the house specialty - and relaxing music, which sets the tone for the day. We use only premium products and are proud to support our local suppliers. Perhaps a continental breakfast is your style, with a selection of juices, cereals and homemade muesli, bakery fresh bread (for the perfect toast!) and your choice of teas, smooth di Bella coffee or hot chocolate. If you are looking for a hearty start to the day, don’t go past our wonderful cooked breakfast, where you can choose from traditional bacon and eggs (cooked to your liking), the luscious Eggs Benedict or the creamy scrambled eggs. Lunch & dinner We believe in using only the freshest and best ingredients in our meals, however in order to source the ingredients for an a la carte menu every day, we would have to ask you to decide your dinner choices in the morning… not something you may want to do on a relaxing break away! To help you leave decision-making back in the real world, we now offer a wonderful tapas menu, which is available from 1-8pm daily. Choose from a mouth-watering array of delicious morsels, such as tempura prawns, vegetable spring rolls, satay chicken, falafels and sushi, to name a few. You can make your selection early and have these delights waiting for you, or enjoy a glass of wine while browsing the menu for your choice. Wine Like everything else at Venus Bay Getaways, the wine we offer is very special… Lyre Bird Hill is an award-winning cool climate winery, which produces a small selection of delicious wines. Riesling, chardonnay and traminer are the white varieties and pinot noir, shiraz and cabernet are the reds. Their ‘Phantasy’ sparkling wine has a subtle blush of pink and is the perfect choice for a special occasion. | Getting There |
From Melbourne, the journey begins on the M1 which can be easily accessed via City Link, a tollway that connects three of Victoria's freeways, including the Tullamarine Freeway that runs from the airport to the city. The quickest way to get to Venus Bay by car is south-east along the Monash Freeway (M1), which turns into the South Gippsland Highway (M420). Once on the M1, take the Cranbourne & Phillip Island exit (M420). This will get you on to the South Gippsland Highway. Continue on the M420 for approximately 34km then take the Korumburra and Leongatha exit, Route A440. By the time you reach the township of Loch you have begun to experience the beauty of the rolling green hills of South Gippsland. Continue on the A440 to Leongatha, Koonwarra and turn right at the Venus Bay sign. Once you enter Venus Bay turn right at the Venus Bay General Store (Centre Road) and the first left (Inlet View Road). Alternatively, Stay on the South Gippsland Highway (M420) and follow the signs to Phillip Island. Continue on the B460 to Wonthaggi. At the coastal resort of Inverloch take the C442 towards Tarwin Lower, then onto Venus Bay. |

Day Spa treatments must be booked prior to arrival and are subject to availability, but can you think of a better way to relax and unwind. Enjoy excellent surfing and windsurfing. Explore the beautiful coastline with a coastal walk. Starting 300 metres from our front door. Enjoy river, surf and estuary fishing. See kangaroos grazing near mangrove flats along tranquil Anderson Inlet. Take a self-guided bushwalk among the tea-tree at Cape Liptrap Coastal Park and see the historic lighthouse. Stroll along the Tarwin Lower boardwalk, which follows the Tarwin River, a good spot for fishing View abundant bird life and mangroves at Bald Hill wetlands (close to Tarwin Lower and heading towards Walkerville). Visit Coal Creek Village Korumburra - entry is free. 40 minutes from Venus Bay. 45 minutes to the gates of Wilson Promontory National Park. 45 minutes to the famous Penguin Parade in Phillip Island. |
