Now boasting five well appointed, en suite guest bedrooms and a 3 bedroom self-contained (or serviced) apartment. The Imperial features a modern guest kitchen, guest lounge, full size billiard table in the old ‘front bar’ and a walled courtyard with solar heated salt water pool. The Imperial is your home away from home while in Broken Hill. Come and immerse yourself in the history of this fascinating industrial and artistic community on the edge of the desert, while luxuriating in the comforts of one of its oldest and most carefully restored buildings. All rooms have queen-size beds, an en suite bathroom, wireless internet access, telephone, television, reverse cycle heating/air conditioning, bath robes, DVD player, clock/radio, hair dryer, desk, easy chairs and table, closet and bar fridge and are furnished with antique and period pieces that individualise each room. The transformation from a neglected corner pub to The Imperial’s current features took 9 years and was a labour of love. A visit to The Imperial indicates the level of detail put into the restoration including its unique pressed metal ceilings, original stair case, and stable walls around the swimming pool and courtyard from the original hotel. Each room is individually furnished and decorated with a variety of antique pieces. The Imperial’s attention to detail in all things is evident in its magnificent rooms and facilities. The high standard of the renovation of this landmark building occurred in consultation with a heritage advisor and expert builders, keeping in mind the needs of the modern traveller. Come and immerse yourself in the history of this fascinating industrial and artistic community on the edge of the desert, while luxuriating in the comforts of one of its oldest and most carefully restored buildings. We can guide you to various galleries, museums and other places of interest, or arrange one of the local tour companies to collect you from the front. As a member of Outback Beds accommodation network, we are able to assist you in choosing your next destination north, south, east or west, for another warm welcome and a comfortable “stay in the Outback with friends”. Dining: Private dinner parties can be arranged in the Imperial’s Dining Room (minimum of 4). Meals are also available if you are travelling alone or in smaller groups and can be taken to your room or eaten on the verandah or in the garden. If you are dining with us it would be appreciated if you could advise us the evening before or early morning. If you are looking for a private and unique venue and catering for a customer meeting, celebration cocktail party or dinner, or an informal get together BBQ or reunion, consider all The Imperial’s facilities have to offer in atmosphere and surroundings.
