Big Cottage # 494:
It has a large open plan living area, two big double bedrooms, all on 12 acres. You can see and hear the ocean from the deck.
The cottage interior has only just been refurbished and repainted. You will find it very clean, fresh and roomy. It suits people who like privacy and prefer to spread out a bit.

SMALL COTTAGE # 98 DETAILS:
The smaller self contained cottage is on the 15 acre property. The main house and check in office is also located here. Everything you would expect to find in a coventional "Motel Situation" is in the cottage. Its facilities are best suited to a couple and maybe a child or two. This Cottage was purposely built for accommodation use. You can relax here.
Only Clients using our properties are welcome to explore the coastline that the general public are unable to access . Just walk 400mtrs across the front paddock and you will find the sea.As you explore the coastline you will find many fishing spots ,rockpools, and places to swim or Snorkle. Bring some good walking shoes.

With it's elevated position above the foreshore of Henderson Bay, you will enjoy the fabulous panaramic views of Henderson Point & Pacific Ocean.
This Quality built 2 bedroom dwelling, is well appointed. It features high vaulted ceilings, polished timber floors with top quality Furnishings and Fittings. As the cottage is comfortably located only a 120 meters from the foreshore of Henderson Bay, it provides shelter and peeps of the ocean to the North, and of Simms Island, to the east. Minimum stay 3 nights.

ABOUT THE AREA :
We are situated in the Extreme Far North of New Zealand on the eastern seaboard of the Cape Reinga Peninsula, at Henderson Bay.
Cape Reinga is famous for the 90 mile long beach, it's spectacular remote , wild ocean ,surf and the Cape Reinga lighthouse.Driving along this beach is Quite an experience.
However,Henderson Bay is quite different.Located on the the East Coast, it is surrounded by a pristine,unspoilt coastline which features endless white sandy ocean beaches ,small safe swiming bays separated by rocky outcrops, and rock pools.Some prefer the Calmer blue water of the Pacific ocean with a more serene aspect to the coastline Our seaside settlement of Henderson Bay with about 15 full time resident is not well known so it is seldom visited by Tourist.Our Seaside settlement is only 10 minutes drive from the village with all its amenities and 40 minutes from a major Service City ,yet it preserves a hint of remoteness too.
The peninsula is very narrow at this location. so 10 minute drive , Via the forestry road will see you on the west coast, which is 90 Mile Beach.
Go,sit on a sand dune and watch the wild horses play in the surf as the sun sets.
Henderson Bay is approximately 10 minites drive from the Village which has a Tavern ,Cafe/Bistro,Boat club, General Store,Bakery,Liquor store , Golf Club, Wharf,Jet-ski hire ,Kayak hire Fishing/Boat charter operators and more.
CLIMATE:-Xtreme Far North
We find the weather on the Cape Reinga Peninsula
to be very reliable. Winter temperatures are Generally 4 to 7 Deg Cel warmer than say Auckland.A good place to escape to during winter.

Cottage has 2 rooms with 1xQueen in each room. There is also a double sofabed in the lounge. Single beds are available on request. All linen supplied. MINIMUM STAY OF TWO NIGHTS DURING PUBLIC HOLIDAYS.
Rates are for 2 people. Extra adults $20.00. Extra children $20.00. The room caters for a maximum of 4 adults, and a maximum of 2 children but cannot exceed 6 guests in total.
