It is walking distance to the Island’s Country Golf Club. Each apartment features climate controlled air-conditioning, ceiling fans, well equipped kitchens with full cooking facilities & its own private courtyard. There are large screen digital TV’s & DVD players with free DVD’s as well as iron & ironing board. These are modern & spacious apartments with quality, comfortable furnishings. The tropical house in Nelly Bay has spectacular ocean views from all four levels of this unusual home. Absolute water frontage with its own private bay & beach style furnishings make this property your ideal Island retreat. Laze by the in-ground salt water swimming pool with its adjoining gazebo or look out at beautiful Cleveland Bay from the deck opening from lounge. The lounge has TV & DVD, floor to ceiling windows opening on to a timber deck. There is a fully equipped kitchen including microwave oven, dishwasher & large fridge. King-size bed in master bedroom which has adjoining ensuite, the second bedroom has 2 single beds, accommodating in total 4 people. | Getting There |
The fast cat ferry makes up to 14 return trips daily and there is a vehicular ferry that makes up to 6 trips daily. Once on the island if arriving by passenger ferry prior to 5pm daily, we have a courtesy vehicle to collect & bring to our facilities. There is a public bus service that will bring you right to our door or you can use one of the island’s four taxis. Hire cars, mini mokes and motor scooters can all be hired on the island. You can arrange to pick them up right at the Ferry Terminal. |

| Things To Do |
Being in a naturally beautiful place with such good weather, it is not surprising to find an abundance of outdoor activities, especially on the water. These range from the exhilarating, like the Jetski Tour around the island, to the absolutely relaxing, sailing in a quiet bay, stretched out, perfectly content. There is a choice of sailing and cruising trips with each one different, but all offering a relaxing day out on the water, with swimming, snorkelling over coral reefs or just lazing in the sun, you can even rent your own yacht. Another great way to see the marine life is taking a guided Sea Kayak tour. The qualified instructor will show you the easy technique and from the quiet of your kayak, exploring beautiful bays, you will have the chance to see dolphins, turtles, coral reef fish, sea eagles and whales. There are sailing catamarans for hire, also sailboards, surfskis, canoes & aquabikes, or how about waterskiing, skydiving on the beach. Learn to Scuba dive or experience a resort dive. Diving & snorkelling gear is also available for hire. If you fancy a spot of fishing, you can take a guided fishing tour. Other ways to take a tour of the island are by bus, taxi or Harley Davidson, or hire a colourful Moke, trail bike, scooter or bicycle & explore at your leisure. There are also fun four-wheel drive tours. There is horse & pony riding, tennis & lawn bowls. For all golfing enthusiasts a round at the Country Club in Picnic Bay is a must, (it is said to be where Greg Norman first played golf). You’ll be made very welcome at all the island’s clubs. More than half of the Island's 5,184 hectares is National Park, with Mt.Cook in the centre rising to 497 metres. Huge granite boulders are softened by tall Hoop pines, eucalypt forest & small patches of rainforest. Where the rocky headlands meet the sea many secluded beaches have been formed, some may only be reached on foot or by boat. There are 24 kms. of walking track through the park with many spectacular lookouts. The National Park is a haven for wildlife, like rock wallabies, possums, koalas and a wide variety of bird-life. |
