Mountain View Motel is situated in Ohakune, 5 minutes from the base of Mt Ruapehu which boasts the Turoa Ski Resort and the Tongariro National Park. In the summer season, daily trips can be made to the top of Mt Ruapehu to see the world famous Crater Lake. Other nearby summer attractions include tramping, the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, mountain biking trails, kayaking/rafting trips down the Whanganui River, golf, and scenic flights. There are many restaurants and cafes only a short walk from the motel. Mountain transport pick up is available on request. Relax in the spa after a hard day's skiing/snowboarding. Take advantage of our drying room for wet clothing and boots. We offer 18 self contained ground floor units and they are as follows: - 5 studio units with either double or twin beds - 1 one bedroom unit with 1 double - 4 large studio units with own drying room, 1 queen bed and 1 single bed, sleeps up to 3 persons - 2 one bedroom units with 1 queen and 1 single, sleep up to 3 - 6 one bedroom units with 1 double and 2 singles, sleeps up to 4 persons Most units with private ski lockers. Drying rooms, laundry facilities, and a private spa are also available and we have ample off the street parking. |

From National park as you come into Ohakune we are second road on your right. From Waiouru on state highway 1 as you come into Ohakune we are the second road on your left after the carrot. By train we have a station in Ohakune. Contact us for pick up. We are 2 minutes walk from the bus stop. |
