As Australia's first inland city, Goulburn is incredibly rich in heritage and a regional rural centre. Our seasons are distinct with hot dry summers, followed by spectacular autumn colours, traditional cold climate winters greeted by the white-as-snow lambs of the coming season of renewal when Goulburn bursts into blossom. October is traditionally Lilac time in Goulburn but the city’s gardens are also abloom with roses around November and March each year. The arts are also alive in Goulburn with a thriving cultural community of performing and traditional artists. There are attractions and activities suitable for anything from a short break to a much longer holiday. Goulburn’s central location makes it the number one choice for conferences, weddings and other events and with great facilities for motor sport in the region; Goulburn is fast becoming the Motor sport capital of NSW! There is always something exciting happening in Goulburn whether it is performances, festivals, exhibitions, racing or simply taking in the natural beauties of the district and its heritage. |
