The Oyster Cove Chalets are located on our property "Wirreanda," and is situated at Oyster Cove Tasmania, just 25 minutes from central Hobart. The property is of some six acres and is on the D’Entrecasteaux Channel opposite Bruny Island, between the townships of Snug and Kettering. (The gateway to Bruny Island). The ferry leaves from here as well as Bruny Island Charters on their adventure trip to the spectacular seascapes of the island. We are centrally located within easy access to the Huon Valley, Hastings Caves and Tahune Air Walk. Southern Tasmania’s other premiere tourist attractions such as Port Arthur, Mt Field National Park and Lake Pedder, are just a day’s touring from the complex. We have three units with spas and everything one would expect from a four star development. As self-contained units, cooking facilities are available in all units and breakfast is included in the tariff. A BBQ is on the veranda of each unit so as guests can have a Barbie on return from touring. The establishment is licensed, giving our clients the ability to buy alcohol from the mini-bar and office. Our fourth unit is a twin and is suitable for our disabled clients and has all the same facilities except for the spa. We are close to hotels and restaurants in the area giving a great choice for eating out. The grounds of Wirreanda Estate are spacious and well developed, with natural bush and large lawn areas, both native and specimen trees dotted around, giving delightful areas to walk, explore. Dining on the outdoor settings which are placed around the property, is a must. An abundance of nocturnal native animals, also make Wirreanda their home and can be viewed from the units. The ambiance of the area is relaxing, with great walks to Oyster Cove (just two kilometers from the complex) and for the more energetic, Kettering is just six kilometers away. |

| Getting There |
Oyster Cove Chalet is just 25 minutes from central Hobart. Directions as follows: Head south out of central Hobart along Davey Street to the Southern Outlet, a distance of 10km through to the suburb of Kingston. Travelling through Kingston, continue in the same southerly direction along the B68 and after the "KFC" roundabout onto the now named, Channel Highway (B68). From the roundabout, you travel through the small towns of Margate & Snug before a left turn at Manuka Road in Oyster Cove. We are number 42 Manuka Road & the sign is clearly marked. Look out for the Blue and yellow road signs on the B68 just before you reach Manuka Road. |

Car parking is both off-street and secure. There is staff on the premises 24 hours each day. |
| Things To Do |
All the attractions of Hobart are close by as well as the Tahune Airwalk, Hastings Caves, Cockle Creek, the farthest one can drive south in Australia. Bruny island is just across the channel and the ferry leaves from Kettering, just 3kms down the road. |
