Elm Tree Motel is a 3½ star AAA rated property, located in a central location in Warrnambool, only a short walking distance to the shops and only one block from the CBD. We have 14 ground floor rooms and have single, queen size, twin and two bedroom units. Free Austar. We are situated next to Kentucky Fried Chicken just off the highway and 200m from McDonalds. Other facilities nearby include churches, chemists, petrol station, supermarket and restaurants. The shops, Botanical Gardens and Aquazone Leisure Centre are great activities for the whole family, featuring 3 indoor pools, 2 outdoor pools [in season], gym fitness classes, child care and cafe. Warrnambool is a provincial city with a population of about 32,000 and is a popular tourist destination, located on the coast 260km west of Melbourne at the start of the Western end of the Great Ocean Road. Other attractions are the Flagstaff Hill Maritime Museum, and the Shipwreck Sound and Light Show. |

Coming from Melbourne along the Great Ocean Road enter Warrnambool via the Princess Highway which meets the Great Ocean Road. Turn right into Kepler Street at the lights and we are located 50m on the left beside KFC. Coming from Portland turn left at the lights at Kepler Street and we are located 50m on the left beside KFC. |

Warrnambool is a regional city of around 32,000 people on the south-western coast of Victoria, located in the municipality City of Warrnambool. It is at the western end of the Great Ocean Road, a 6 hour drive by car, but is more quickly reached along the Princes Highway, 265 kilometers and a 3 hour drive. If you are opting for a bit of adventure, or just want to have some fun, Warrnambool caters for everyone's taste when it comes to entertainment. With almost every sport you can think of - tennis, golf, fishing, squash, lawnbowls, swimming, croquet... the list is endless. Then of course there is surfing, scuba diving, whale watching, wind surfing, walking tracks, horse riding, or leisurely river cruises and a wide range of family attractions. Warrnambool's picturesque Lady Bay offers protected swimming along with the more challenging pursuits of surfing, yachting, and wind surfing. Surf lifesavers patrol the beach during the summer. Warrnambool's award winning foreshore promenade is a wonderful 5.7km track that stretches from the breakwater along the coastline to the famous southern right Whale nursery at Logans Beach. The promenade is very popular and you can walk, run, ride or skate along the scenic trail. Warrnambool's fantastic Lake Pertobe Adventure Playground is a year round family attraction. This 20 hectare adventure playground is paradise for the kids with giant slides, flying foxes, a maze and boat rides. There are lovely walking tracks around the lakes, and the park features delightful picnic areas and sheltered BBQ facilities. The Lake Pertobe precinct is also home to other sporting facilities such as lawn tennis courts, mini golf, an athletics track and near by skate board park. If you want a fun alternative to the beach head down to the Warrnambool Aquatic Centre. Maybe you'd like to relax at the cinema, see a live performance or visit a wild life sanctuary... Whatever you're pace, there are plenty of activities for all interests and ages. Warrnambool Racing Club, home of the internationally acclaimed Grand Annual Steeplechase, where heroes are created on the first Thursday in May, the course is situated on the eastern outskirts of Warrnambool, set in a picturesque valley surrounded by low hills which provide excellent natural viewing platforms. Warrnambool's Premier Speedway is one of the major tracks in Australia and have achieved a AAA national rating in recognition of the facilities that we have, both for the fans and the competitors, which is situated 10km east of Warrnambool. The Flagstaff Hills recreated Maritime Village is set on 10 acres and reflects the pioneering atmosphere of an 1870's coastal port. Experience first hand the perils of early sea travel as you explore the Gravesend Theatre, audiovisual presentations, interactive displays, and the relics and treasures, recovered from various shipwrecks in the Great Circle Gallery. With all these wonderful attractions Warrnambool is a must place to visit. |
