Exuding warmth, this large, lovingly restored heritage listed (C1870) home with it's unique timber ceilings & staircase, spacious ensuited queen rooms & guest lounge is the perfect base to explore the whole of the Huon Trail. Relax in the large riverside gardens & watch the platypus, enjoy a glass of local wine on the verandah or enjoy a DVD in the gracious heated lounge. All rooms have heating, electric blankets & tea & coffee making facilities. Enjoy a full country breakfast in the sunny dining room & simple evening meals & drinks are available on request. |

Rates for 2. Maximum occupancy 3. Extra guest $40/ night. Bedding configuration 1 queen bed & 1 king single. Spacious room with TV, tea & coffee facilities, fridge & a large bathroom that includes a claw foot bath. Licensed with evening meals on request Rates are for 2 people. Extra adults $40.00. Watch platypus in our own garden or be a little more adventurous... There is plenty to see and do, for example: -Tahune Airwalk & the new swing bridges -Eagle Hang Gliding -Hartz Mountains National Park, with spectacular views and great walks, long or short & sometimes snow in Winter! -Hastings Caves & it's thermal pool -Ida Bay Historic & very scenic Railway -Huon Wine Trail -Cockle Creek with it's bronze whale sculpture, which is as far south as you can drive in Australia! -Bruny Island, so much to see & do! -Southern Design Centre, a showcase of local artisans creations, watch them working, just 100m up the road -Forest & Heritage Museum Centre -Jet boating only 20 minutes away -Trout fishing, here in Geeveston where you can learn to fly fish for rainbow & brown trout or salmon There are also local golf & bowls clubs & we can recommend gardens, beaches, scenic drives & even a sheep cheesery in the area. |
