Things To Do	The city has two distinct parts, New Delhi and Old Delhi. Red fort is in Old Delhi. Red Fort was built by Emperor Shah Jehan between 1636 and 1658. The premier stone tower in India, the Qutub Minar was built by Qutbuddin Aibak, the viceroy of Mohammed Ghori in 1192. It was built to commemorate Ghori's triumph over the Rajputs. The Iron pillar , the 7.2-meter elevated pillar, standing with in the Qutab Minar complex, is a proof of India's superior knowledge of metallurgy 2000 years ago. For it persists to stand, even today, rust-free. India gate was built in reminiscence of the 90,000 Indian soldiers who departed their life in World War I. It was constructed in 1931, planned by Lutyens, and was initially called the All India War Memorial.
