Picton is the ideal base to relax, unwind and explore the spectacular Marlborough Sounds. The sheltered waterways are ideal for cruising, fishing, diving, sea kayaking and nature watching. The Queen Charlotte Track is on Picton's doorstep, just a water taxi drive away to one of the South Islands best walking tracks. With daily departures to various points along the track you are sure to find an adventure suited to your needs. Only 20 minutes drive away are the Marlborough Vineyards. Home to over 60 premier vineyards and boutique wineries, wine tasting tours at the vineyards are very popular. Many have restaurants that range from café style to a fine dining experience.
