| Getting There |
Drive 22 km (20 minutes) north of Cairns on the Cook Hwy. Set your odometre so that you will know when you are almost there. When you see the sign for Cairns Tropical Zoo on the left, the turn off will be one minute further on the right. Turn right into Veivers Rd., go to the Esplanade, turn left, go one block and turn left again into Harpa St. The Reef Retreat is the second building on the right, 10 – 14 Harpa St. |

The Reef Retreat offers a tour desk where you can book over 200 tours in the region. Palm Cove also offers a range of facilities and activities. Some of these include the Palm Cove jetty for fishing or departures to the Great Barrier Reef for snorkelling and diving, palm fringed beach, golf course, animal wildlife park, shopping plaza, art galleries, seaside restaurants and bars, boat / bicycle hire, opal display centre and shop, fitness centre, spa treatments, massage, squash and tennis courts. |
