Port Stephens is the blue water paradise of New South Wales mid-north coast. Just a 2½ hour drive north of Sydney via the Newcastle Freeway will put you into the heart of Port Stephens, a holiday playground with something to offer everyone. How to get here: From Sydney: 220 kilometres, 2½ hours drive north from Sydney via the F3 Freeway. From Newcastle: 50 kilometres, 45 minutes drive north from Newcastle. Air: Flights are available daily to Newcastle Airport, Williamtown (25 minutes drive to Port Stephens) from Brisbane, Canberra, Sydney, Coolangatta, NSW North Coast (Taree, Port Macquarie, and Coffs Harbour). Hire Cars: Available from Newcastle Airport and Nelson Bay. Train: Trains are available to Newcastle Station. Buses connect with the trains for transfers to Port Stephens. Coach: A coach service departs Eddy Ave, Central Station Sydney daily at 2.00pm for Port Stephens. This departs Port Stephens for Sydney at 9.00am daily. Once you get to Nelson Bay: Continue along Nelson Bay Road turn left at the roundabout at Church & Stockton Street. Continue along Church Street and turn right at the next roundabout into Government Road - this road then becomes Victoria Parade. Continue along past the Marina and Tourist Information Centre, straight ahead through the roundabout and turn left into Dixon Street (before RSL Club). Continue along Dixon Street which then becomes Beach Road - Halifax Holiday Park is located on the point at Nelson Head. |

Surfing, sailing, paragliding, paddleboats, windsurfing, diving, dolphin/whale watching cruises, fishing, boating, fun park, animal nursery, tobogganing, go karts, arts & crafts, Devonshire teas, lighthouse tours, bushwalking, helicopter joy flights, water slide, winery, pubs, clubs and restaurants, cafes, golf, bowls, cinemas, tennis, squash, four wheel driving, sand boarding, snorkelling, deep sea fishing, kayaking, indigenous culture tours. Sandicoots for Kids has been designed with kids in mind. We have excellent staff to make sure that the kids have fun fun fun. Sandicoots runs during NSW school holidays with activities range from arts and crafts, kids movies, games, nature walks, kids movies nights and discos and lots lots more. A small fee applies to some activities. For more information about Sandicoots activities planned for your next holiday contact the park and we will send you some information. Guests staying at our park receive a discount on our very own tours. Our personalised tour bus will pick up and drop off at the Park. *Please note: Minimum numbers required for tours to run.
