Green Gables B&B is situated on the waterfront of picturesque Gardners Bay in the Huon Valley and has a AAA 4½ star rating. A delightful view of the undulating hills of the 'Black Jack Ridge' provide a perfect backdrop to the sailing boats floating by. We are a scenic 40 min drive south of Hobart and 3.5 km from the pretty township of Cygnet. Our property is ideally located to visit close-by attractions such as the famous Tahune Forest Airwalk, Bruny Island, Hastings Caves and Thermal Springs, The Wooden Boat Centre - just to mention a few. We are also close to many Boutique Wineries like Panorama Vinyard (famous for their award-winning Pinot Noir), Home Hill Winery/Restaurant, Hartzview Wine Centre and well-known Bar/Restaurant Peppermint Bay - if you are planning a special occasion. If boating is your pleasure you will find that the many bays and waterways in this part of The Huon Valley will excite you with endless possibilities. If you are on the 'Gourmet Trail' you won't be disappointed as this region offers some of the best produce of Tasmania. Green Gables' established park-like gardens invite you to relax and rejuvenate your senses. Our accommodation consists of two self-contained apartments. Both are elegantly furnished and provide luxurious comfort in a completely private setting with verandas and separate entry. Perfect for that 'Romantic Getaway'. Come and experience our warm and friendly European hospitality. Your hosts Beate & Paul will spoil you with a generous farm-fresh continental breakfast or a cooked hearty farm-style breakfast upon request (charge applies) to set you up for your day. The Water View Apartment Rates are for 2 people - incl. breakfast (Minimum stay 2 nights) Sleeps 2/4 people. (Quality foldout sofa for extra persons) This spacious apartment offers a generous bedroom with Q/S bed, fine stylish linen, electric blanket and quality doona/pillows and has access to private veranda overlooking the bay. The generous lounge room provides comfort away from home with TV, DVD/CD Player, in-house movies, books/magazines for your leisure. A fully equipped kitchenette with microwave, tea/coffee making facilities, bar fridge, toaster and fine china and glassware make it easy to enjoy a romantic night in. An outside setting with BBQ completes the picture. A separate large bathroom with shower and double spa-bath invites you to relax! Be pampered with fluffy towels, bathrobes and fine toiletries. The Garden View Studio Apartment Rates are for 2 people incl. breakfast (Minimum stay 2 nights) Sleeps 2 people. The brand new studio apartment has a Q/S bed with stylish bed linen, electric blanket, quality doona/pillows and separate seating. It overlooks our lovely garden and has access to own private veranda with outdoor seating and BBQ. The fully equipped kitchenette provides tea/coffee making facilities, microwave, bar fridge, toaster and quality crockery and glassware. A wall-fitted LCD TV, DVD/CD Player, in-house movies and heating complete your comfort. The new modern bathroom offers a luxurious roomy shower and separate toilet. Fluffy towels and bathrobes and fine toiletries will pamper you. Take the A-6 highway out of Hobart to Huonville, then continue on the Chanel Hwy in direction to Cygnet. When in Cygnet continue on Chanel Hwy into direction of Gardners Bay until you see our sign. |
