| Getting There |
Lake Brunner/Moana is only a two and a half hour drive from Christchurch passing through the spectacular Castle Rock area and also Arthurs Pass region. Only 30 minutes from Greymouth. 1 hour from Hokitika, 3 hours from the Glaciers and 50 minutes from Punakaiki (Pancake Rocks. If travelling from Christchurch take the right hand turn for Moana/Lake Brunner just after "Jackson's Historic Tavern". Bypass the turn off into the Moana village. There is a service station on your right hand side. We are 500m past this on the left. If travelling from Greymouth, take the right hand turn for Moana/Lake Brunner at Stillwater. Continue on this road for approximately 21km, we are on the right hand side just prior to the Moana township. |

Lake Brunner Accommodation incorporates Lake Brunner Golf Course - opened Novemeber 2007. 9 holes with a beautiful outlook and a backdrop of unspoilt native bush. The lake itself is surrounded by rivers and streams which offer some of the best brown trout fishing in the South Island. Local fishing guides are available. There are many native bush walks for all fitness levels from a 10 minute stroll to a six hour hike. A bird watchers paradise! Catamaran Charters on Lake Brunner. Centrally based for many other activities: Shantytown, Monteith's Brewery Tours, On Yer Bike 4 x 4 Adventures, Little Earth, Rafting, Punakaiki Blowholes and so much more! The village is serviced with a fully licenced cafe - "Station House Cafe" and the "Moana Hotel". The service centre caters for your motoring and grocery needs. Lake Brunner makes a great base for your West Coast experience. We are happy to assist with the booking of any tours/activities. |
