Southern Cross Motel & Apartments has 88 airconditioned rooms. We offer 4 levels of brand new modern self contained serviced apartments. Features include separate bedroom with king size bed. Open plan lounge and dining, full kitchen complete with cooking facilities also private balcony. 4 levels of Studio Apartments feature kitchenette with microwave and basic cooking facilities. Some have private balcony. All apartments feature LCD Flat screen TV. We also offer 3 levels of refurbished motel style units. These units are semi contained and offer open plan living area with a friendly, comfortable atmosphere. The rooms can be serviced as requested. The Southern Cross Motel & Apartments complex features a fine Italian Restaurant, Spizzico which offers breakfast lunch and dinner. The Southern Cross Motel and Apartments is located at Kangaroo Point. Easily Accessable to the Buses, Trains and Ferries. We are conveniently situated within walking distance to the Gabba, home of the Brisbane Lions. The heart of Brisbane city, Queen Street Mall, can be accessed via a short stroll through Southbank Parklands then Performing Arts Centre, Museum and the State Library. All of which will take a total 15 minutes only. If you feel like enjoying a spectacular city view, you could try climbing the Story Bridge or picnic on the Beautiful Kangaroo Point Cliffs. All major Brisbane hospitals are within a 10 minute drive as well as Tafe's and Universities. When you are feeling hungry you can enjoy the flavours of Italy and eat at our onsite Itialian restaurant "Spizzico" Prepaired by Angelo and Silvana specializing in Traditional and Modern Italian Cuisine. Other options could be walk directly across the road to the infamous Pineapple Hotel and Bistro famous for its award winning steaks. Or try the Thai & Malaysian resturants, McDonalds & KFC, all within a 2 minute walk. There is also a 24 hour stop and shop which includes Subway a Bakery and Newsagency. Our local chemist is only a 1 minute walk for your convenience. Brisbane is situated in the middle of the Gold and Sunshines coast. All it takes is a less than an hour drive South to spend a day at Dreamworld Seaworld, Movieworld or numerous waterparks. If you head north you can sight see at the famous Australia Zoo or the beautiful beaches of the Sunshine Coast. Coach transfer can be arranged at a small charge or a taxi can pick you up direct from the motel. |

UBD - Map 23 12D We are located on the Southside of Brisbane. Corner of Walmsley and Main Streets. Directly opposite the Pineapple Hotel. 35 minutes drive from the airport. 3 minutes from the South East freeway using Vulture Street or Southbank exit. Taxi from Airport is approx $38 Taxi from City is approx $10 Taxi from Transit Centre is approx $10 Shuttle bus from Airport is approx $12 per person. The shuttle takes approx 1 hour. |

Explore Brisbane city and surrounds by taking a walk over the Kangaroo Point Cliffs down to Southbank then into the city and try your luck at the Tresury Casino. You could have a leisurely ride on the City Cat hoping on and off at numerous parks and walkways or cycleways up and down the Brisbane River. For the adventurous you can climb the Story Bridge or absail down the Kangaroo Point cliffs. Visit the Gabba, and support the Brisbane Lions Football Club or the Australian Cricket team. The ever trendy Fortitude Valley is only a short walk away. Try some shopping or stop to have a drink at its many bars, clubs and excellent dining.
