The beach is recognised as one of the region's finest, and provides safe swimming and glorious sand for beach walks and jogging. Takapuna enjoys a relaxed seaside ambience, unexpected in the thriving Auckland Metropolis.. the North Shore has a number of excellent sport and recreational activities. Art and Craft markets are located a 5 minute walk from the Inn and are open every Sunday morning. Enjoy a day trip to Matakana wine country in the north or Kumeu in the west. Nothing is too far from the Shore - 45 minutes west to Piha Surf beach and the bush-clad Waitakere Ranges, or north to Snow Planet and Waiwera Hot Pools. |
