By The Bay is located in the Far North of New Zealand on the beautiful East Coast at Coopers Beach, Doubtless Bay. By car it is 4 hours north of Auckland and 1 hour north of the Bay of Islands and is well located for trips to Cape Reinga. Doubtless Bay provides excellent facilities for boating, swimming, diving and fishing. The Butler Point Whaliang Museum and Matthew's Vintage Car and Tractor Museum are at Mangonui and Aurere.

Check In Instructions Follow driveway and park on deck facing Coopers Beach. Reception is signed and adjacent to carpark.

Getting There *Driving..By The Bay is 310 km (4hrs)north of Auckland. Take State Hwy 1(SH1)north from Auckland heading for Whangarei. Past Whangarei and just before Kawakawa watch out for an intersection where you must turn left on SH1
to follow SH1 through Kawakawa township. Continue on SH1 for about 15km then turn right onto SH 10 (Pakaraka turnoff). Follow SH10 past turnoff to Bay of Islands and Kerikeri roundabout. Continue north on SH10 through Kaeo (small township)where SH10 makes a left hand turn across a single lane bridge about 2km north of Kaeo. Follow SH10 and continue past Mangonui turnoffs (2)on your right. At top of hill (about 150m past last Mangonui turnoff) you will now see Doubtless Bay with Coopers Beach below you. About 50m past the top of the hill as you descend to Coopers Beach you will see a sign to By The Bay on the left hand side of SH10. Turn right at the sign into Kupe Road, then next turn right to Braemar Avenue. Follow Braemar Avenue to the end where you will see By the Bay.
*Daily bus to Mangonui - Intercity Coaches
*Multiple daily flights to Kerikeri or Kaitaia airports by Air New Zealand. Please advise if you require collection from the airport. Hire cars are available at both airports.
Parking Secure off-street guest parking avaiable.
