Relais Villa Belpoggio is a classic example of a 17th country residence designed for the Florentine aristocracy. This period house is right in the middle of the triangle connecting Florence to Arezzo and Siena. A wonderful broad vista sweeps from the Villa through the Arno valley and the Chianti mountains. Restored with loving care, it is a place where the guest can enjoy peace, nature and warm Tuscan hospitality. Relais Villa Belpoggio offers a junior suite and nine double rooms, with fine furniture and many antiques. Each room has its own private bathroom, air conditioning, phone, tv sat, mini bar, tea/coffee maker, safe. Breakfast is served in the old cellars, dug in the rock, with the traditional red brick vault, or outside, in a cosy corner of the garden. A bountiful buffet of local fresh food is prepared every morning. At the ground floor of the Villa, classical, simple and cosy at the same time, guests can relax in the lobby. The fireplace corner is a comfortable place to meet and converse. The small library is an invitation to discover a "different" Tuscany, beautiful, genuine and as yet unspoiled. A special desk of the Reception is reserved to assist our guests with literature and advice, in the study and organisation of itineraries. The gardens and the panoramic swimming pool are always available to our guests. The location of the Villa provides so many options for the fine dining, great and varied day trips through the Pratomagno, the Casentino, the Aretine Chianti and excellent buying at the nearby Gucci, Prada, Fendi and Dolce e Gabbana outlets. Very comfortable junior suite with a living room,a double bedroom & en-suite Carrara marble bathroom with shower. By car: Located only 14km. from exit #25 of motorway A1, tollgate Valdarno, Villa Belpoggio is easily reachable by car. Leaving the Motorway, turn right and follow the indications for Terranuova Bracciolini. After 2km., turn left, passing under a viaduct, always following the road signs for Terranuova Bracciolini. At the first roundabout, take the first right, so to avoid the centre of the village. That road, the ring road, leads to a second roundabout, where you have to take the second road on your right, following the signs for Loro Ciuffenna. Keep on going for 5 km. Immediately after a sporting field, at a third roundabout, take the third road on the left, which is the Strada Provinciale Setteponti, towards Firenze and Castelfranco. After 5 km. you will see the road sign indicating Relais Villa Belpoggio drive at 50 m. on your right. Florence 35 km. Arezzo 33 km. Siena 50 km. By plane: Florence "Amerigo Vespucci" airport at 55 km. Pisa "Galileo Galilei" airport at 140 km. Rome-Fiumicino "Leonardo da Vinci" airport at 190 km. |
