The development of Port Hinchinbrook is the culmination of over a decade of planning and development for Keith Williams, the mastermind behind other integrated resorts including Sea World on the Gold Coast and Hamilton Island in Northern Queensland. Keith’s aim has always been to acquire locations which, when developed, ensure clients have invested in an appreciating asset. At Port Hinchinbrook Keith’s vision was to create Australia’s finest, fully integrated resort precinct. As you enjoy your holiday you’ll see for yourself that the vision is fast becoming a reality! Port Hinchinbrook offers a wide variety of activities both within the resort and beyond to Hinchinbrook Island and the Great Barrier Reef. We have 25 tropical cabins (sleep 2 - 4) rated 3.5 star. Cabin types - Front St, Waterfront and Lake Cabins. FRONT STREET CABINS The Front Street Cabins allow you to enjoy easy access to Port Hinchinbrook Resort facilities. The Front Street Cabins feature timber floors and high-pitched roofs with exposed timber beams. Each Cabin has twin queen sized beds, is fully air-conditioned, and boasts a substantial bathroom. LAKE CABINS The Lake Cabins boast a superb lake front location within Port Hinchinbrook Resort being particularly close to the resort swimming pool and boat ramp facilities. They have similar features to the Front Street Cabins however they also have kitchenettes with basic catering facilities. These Lake Cabins are also available for sale as an investment. WATERFRONT SUITES The Port Hinchinbrook Waterfront Suites offer guests absolute privacy and comfort with their private decks overlooking the marina. Each suite has access to its own private outdoor therapy spa and shower that are beautifully concealed amid the tropical flora and fauna of Port Hinchinbrook. MARINA RESTAURANT The magnificent Marina Restaruant offers superb meals and are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. Visit the Endeavour Bar which is also a maritime museum with binnacle, ships wheels, a 100 year old air pump for divers, navigation lights and magnificent wood carving. The Endeavour carving is 3.4 metres x 2.7 metres. The restaurant is situated within the central marina complex and guests are invited to experience the relaxed atmosphere on the boardwalk, watching the boats dock and depart while they enjoy their meal – the setting is simply magic. You will love our magnificent pool. Set in a lush tropical jungle, it’s the perfect spot to unwind. Tennis court, enjoy a friendly game. |

| Getting There |
If you self drive follow the Bruce Highway toward Cardwell - Take the Port Hinchinbrook exit off the Bruce Highway (you'll see the signs as you get closer!). You can’t miss the entrance to Port Hinchinbrook. Drive time - allow 2 hours from Townsville and 2.5 hours from Cairns. The closest domestic airport is in Townsville and Cairns airport is the closest international/domestic airport. Hire cars are available at both airports or a coach transfer can be arranged. Hinchinbrook Coaches are available upon booking from both Townsville or Cairns and can collect you from any location of your choosing. Take the Sunlander or Tilt Train out of Brisbane (disembarking in Cardwell, 1km from Port Hinchinbrook) and see Queensland as you've never seen it before. |
