Enjoy a welcoming visit to Villa Russell, 2 minutes from the beach and Russell's restaurants, yet totally private and secluded. Relax with magnificent views of Russell's bay and wharf from the deck or our beautifully restored 1910 villa or from our guest cottage with spacious guest rooms, with ensuites, and large verandah, all surrounded by mature native trees and birdsong. Imagine having breakfast served al fresco, on your own verandah, while seeing nature at its best. There are 3 guest suites all beautifully appointed with superking or queen size beds each with luxurious New Zealand pure wool underlays for your comfort. A short walk takes you to Long Bay surf beach or historic Flagstaff Hill and native bush. Your suite is complete with tea/coffee facicilities, refrigerator, microwave, TV, DVD, and laundry facilities. Off Street parking provided. make your stay even more special with a day sailing charter on our 11.6M yacht "Kingfisher" or 15M "Kama Lua" an awesome way to explore the beutiful sights the Bay of Islands has to offer. Historic and romantic Russell is the oldest town in New Zealand and the first capital and with its museums and craft shops offers an ideal way to explore New Zealands early history. With three beautiful beaches and nature walks it provides an idyllic holiday. |

| Getting There |
By Car: Take the car ferry shuttle at Opua. It is then a nine Kilometre drive to Russell township. Travel through the main street of Russell to Queen Street and into Little Queen Street at the bottom of Flagstaff Hill. Villa Russell is signposted at the gate. |

Sailing, yacht charters, diving, snorkelling, swimming, fishing charters, have a game of tennis at the local tennis court, play golf at Waitangi, swim with the dolphins, visit Waitangi, the birthplace of our nation, visit Pompallier House where the French missionaries printed prayer books in the Maori Language and still run it as a working museum, follow the heritage trail around Russell and learn about the early History, walk up to the Falgstaff and see where Hone Heke chopped down the flagstaff 4 times as a protest. |
