| Getting There |
The main international gateway for Bay of Islands is Auckland. For international visitors, transfer to Air New Zealand domestic flights or take a charter coach service. Transportation times ex Auckland by air - there are 3 airports Whangarei, Kerikeri and Kaitaia with Air NZ Link. Flight time from Auckland to Whangarei is 30 minutes and Kerikeri/Bay of Islands is 40 minutes. By coach ex Auckland is approx 3.5-4 hours. Self-drive is approx 3-3.5 hours north of Auckland. |
