Kilmarnock House us listed by the National Heritage Trust, National Estate and the Heritage Commission. It is an exceptional example of the fine architectural and construction talents found in Launceston at the turn of the 20th century. This two-storied property has ten main rooms, two of which feature luxuriant spa baths. Kilmarnock House welcomes all visitors to Launceston, offering a range of accomodation styles, including bridal suites and corporate and family apartments. Each room features its own en suite bathroom and well-appointed kitchenette. Owner-operated Kilmarnock House has been rated **** by AAA and is fully accredited by the Tourism Council of Tasmania. We are more than happy to assist guests with directions to the many attractions the Tamar Valley has to offer. We are located a mere 1.5kms east of the city centre, a short and level walk for those who want to take advantage of the many restaurants and boutique shops nearby. For those with a sporting bent, Kilmarnock House is also located within a convient distance to AFL football, swimming, tennis, cricket, and basketball facilities. |

Rates are for 4 people, maximum occupancy is 4. Bedding configuration is queen size bed and 2 singles. The unit features two separate bedrooms, own bathroom, full kitchen and lounge/dining areas. TV/DVD/CD player all provided.Children very welcome. Rates are for 4 people. The room caters for a maximum of 2 adults, and a maximum of 2 children but cannot exceed 4 guests in total. | Getting There |
For visitors arriving in Launceston by plane, Kilmarnock House is located about 20mins drive from the airport. We are more than happy to provide instructions on how to find us on the phone, or alternatively, hire car companies will assist. Shuttlebuses and taxis are also available between the airport and Kilmarnock House. |

| Things To Do |
The attraction in Launceston are plentiful. They include, but are not limited to: the Gorge and the First Basin, the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery, National Trust Properties, cruises on the Tamar River and many award-winning restaurants. If venturing further afield, the Tamar Valley offer picturesque driving plus wineries, lavender farms and wildlife parks featuring our local Tasmanian fauna. Launceston is also an ideal base if you are planning to visit our pristine wildlife parks, including Cradle Mountain and Dove Lake, Walls of Jerusalem, the Tarkine, Dismal Swamp, the Central Highlands and the Great Lakes. It also only a short drive to Tasmania's many beautiful northern beaches. |
