CHILD FREE ACCOMMODATION Clydesdale Manor is a small, elegant establishment which has been created as a haven for adults and consequently we do not accommodate children. SMOKE FREE ACCOMMODATION Our manor house is a smoke free zone. We have however set aside an outside zone at the rear of the manor for those who need to light up. MEDIA COVERAGE Clydesdale Manor has appeared on "Getaway", as well as being featured in Marie Claire, the Guardian (UK), Australian Financial Review, Sunday Telegraph, Australian Country Style. LOCATION Clydesdale Manor occupies a prime position in the exclusive enclave of Sandy Bay, less than 2 kilometres from the centre of Hobart and a very leisurely 15 minute stoll to Salamanca and the harbour. CLYDESDALE MANOR - THE PROPERTY During 2008 Clydesdale was completely refurbished to provide contemporary accommodation within an iconic heritage building. Clydesdale Manor will appeal to guests seeking stylish accommodation with the added bonus of the hosts also being the owners. As you enter the front foor of our iconic National Trust listed manor and step onto the European Oak parquetry flooring and gaze at the chandelier a sense of style captures you. Our rejuvenated rooms with 100% Australian wool carpets and stunning new decors all add to the charm that is Clydesdale Manor while our comptely renovated bathrooms now feature floor to ceiling porcelain tiles,walk in shower bays, bespoke wall hung vanities topped with stone, under floor heating. The Spa Suites now provide an intimate double spa with a cascading marble tile feature. BREAKFASTS Our renowned breakfasts are served daily between 8am and 9am daily in the Breakfast Room overlooking the rear garden. Your particular package will indicate whether your rate is "room only", or includes either a Continental Breakfast or our degustation style Full Breakfast. Please note that we do not serve the standard B&B fare of bacon and eggs but rather our menu changes daily to allow us to showcase fresh local produce. Our Full Breakfast Menu includes a set daily "Hot Offering", the following examples of which illustrate the diversity of our range. Poached Eggs sitting on a toasted disc of grain bread with a layer of either carved Leg Ham (from Huon valley pigs) or local Smoked Tasmanian Salmon, then topped with a dollop of homemade Lemon Hollandaise Sauce and freshly chopped chives. OR Warmed Gruyere and Spinach Custard served with a homemade Tomato Chutney. OR Blueberry Buttermilk Pancakes with Vanilla mascapone cream and Maple Syrup. |

Clydesdale Manor, at 292 Sandy Bay Road, Sandy Bay is in an ideal location and very easy to find. After turning into Sandy Bay Road from Davey Street we are approximately 1.3 kilometres along on the left hand side (river side). We are 100 metres past McDonalds and if you turn left at the red Australia Post box on Sandy Bay Road you will have reached your destination. Like all accommodation in Hobart we are situated approximately 20 minutes from Hobart International Airport. |
