Buckingham’s Award Winning Hotel is the gateway to the Peak District National Park and Chatsworth House plus many more attractions. Originally a pair of Victorian semi-detached houses that have been sympathetically converted into this attractive, comfortable and relaxed hotel in Newbold, a residential area of Chesterfield. Nick and Tina Buckingham are well known for their warm and friendly hotel, which specialises in superlative food. The hotel’s modern facilities are combined with an attention to detail and quality of service. Ladies travelling alone can rest assured they will be well looked after. To avoid disappointment if guests wish to dine in the restaurant they are advised to reserve a table prior to arrival. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS COMPLETELY NON SMOKING |

Direction to Buckingham’s from M1 J29: On leaving M1 at J29, take the 2nd exit at the roundabout onto the A617 Chesterfield. At next roundabout take the 2nd exit and go 400 yards (Home base) to another roundabout and take your 2nd exit. (Kwik Fit) Follow the road to the town centre. (Roundabout with car park in centre)At traffic light (Eyres) get into the right hand lane follow road round and at the next traffic lights move to left-hand lane by the Multi-Storey car park follow road round to mini roundabout. (Jet Petrol Station) Take the 1st exit sign posted Barlow (B6051). Buckingham’s is 800 yards along this road on your right, just after the zebra crossing Direction to Buckingham’s from Manchester: Follow the A619 to Chesterfield until you come to a roundabout (B&Q on your right)At the Roundabout take you 1st exit (Foljambe Road) Follow the road straight on to traffic light. At Traffic lights go straight ahead (Passing the side entrance of Chesterfield Football Ground) Follow road to T-junction (One Way Street)At the T-junction move into your right hand lane and turn right and immediately move into the left hand lane (Cross Street) Follow the road turning onto Queens Street (3rd road on your left) At the end of the Queens Street turn left. Buckingham’s is 10 metres along the road Direction to Buckingham’s from Sheffield Follow the A61 to Chesterfield. At the Roundabout (J E James and Little Chef) take you 4th exit (B6057) Follow the road straight on to roundabout (Donkey Derby). Take 2nd exit and go straight ahead over mini roundabout. At mini roundabout (Jet Station) take your 2nd exit, sign posted Barlow (B6051) Buckingham’s is 800 yards along this road on your right, just after the zebra crossing. |

M1, J29 is only five miles away whilst the local bus and train stations are within a few minutes of our door. Chesterfield town centre is five minutes walk away; here you can find the famous Crooked Spire of its parish church. Chesterfield is also home to one of the largest open-air markets in the country. You can browse around more than 200 stalls every Monday, Friday and Saturday all year round, whilst on Thursday you can rummage in the popular flea market.
