Set on Chatsworth Estate, within easy walking distance of the Park and surroundings, the highly commended Cavendish Hotel and Restaurant is famous for its excellent food and regularly changing menu. All 23 bedrooms have unique and truly magnificent views over the Chatsworth Estate. Luxuriously appointed, many bedrooms have antique furniture and fine art, featuring every modern facility. It became the Duke of Devonshire's property around 1830 and in the early 1970's was rebuilt as the Cavendish by Chatsworth Estate when the original character was preserved and the Duchess of Devonshire selected the decor and furnishings, some of which came from Chatsworth House itself. A closely knit team is dedicated to looking after guests as individuals, not simply room numbers. The Hotel exudes a quiet elegance; an extensive collection of original artwork, antiques, charming furnishings and decor maintained in a continual programme of improvements all add to that elusive dimension - tranquillity. Add to that, of course, that view from the window of your bedroom; no traffic, only fields and you will begin to understand the lure of the Cavendish. PLEASE NOTE A TWO NIGHT MINIMUM STAY STRICTLY APPLIES TO THIS HOTEL ON SATURDAYS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. THE HOTEL RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CANCEL ONE NIGHT SATURDAY BOOKINGS. Admission to Chatsworth House is included in the room rate (for up to 2 people) during season. Please note a 5% Service Charge is added to all goods and services provided during your stay (excludes booking charges made via this site) |
