The Portage Resort sits on the door step of the Magical Kenepuru Sounds, It boasts 41 Resort Style Rooms spread throughout Sculptured Native Gardens, with enchanting views across the Turquiose Waters of the Kenepuru Sound and its Giant Rolling hills. The Kenepuru Spa Suites are bathed in sunlight with sliding windows opening out to a view across the Sounds. Has own private Spa Bath. The Kowhai Lodge Rooms (Premium Seaview Rooms) have Contemporary Glass and Tile bathrooms with large private decks with uninterrupted views of Kenepuru Sound. Spacious Room with modern deco, King Bed, Large Mirror, wardrobe and draws. Hillside Rooms suit couples, families and friends sharing together. Great views across the centre of the resort, some with decks and others with warm sunrooms and large windows. Sleeps 2 to 5 guests. Courtyard Rooms are nestled in the native gardens, with small Patio's. Enjoy the warm comfortable lounge after a day of experiencing the best of Marlborough and the Sounds. As we enter the Winter Season, let this time be a time to endulge in quick getaways. With soft cooler nights we can contently become indoor habitats. Sit around the fire, play games, read a book while sipping a glass of warm mulled wine or a lovely glass of Brandy, whatever is your delight. The Retro Bar is the perfect place to unwind with its comfortable surroundings and cosy atmosphere. After a day of active outdoor experiences there is the foreshore to explore,or a soothing soak in the spa to indulge. Celebrate your special occasion in the Te Weka fine dining restaurant with its wood panelling open fire and views across the Sounds or enjoy a casual waterfront meal in the Snapper Cafe. Of course there is always time to sit back and enjoy a glass of wine on the deck of your room and watch the birds, boats and world go by. |

| Getting There |
Easy 10 minute water taxi from Picton to Torea Bay where you will be met by the Resort courtesy vehicle and transfered to The Resort. Water Taxi's are limited to a set timetable. Pls call ahead to ensure passage. By car it is 58 km from Picton, approx 1.15min drive. Follow the scenic Queen Charlotte Drive to Linkwater then Kenepuru Road to The Portage Resort. Try Float Plane or Helicopter, and be delivered right in front of the hotel. |

There is ample off street carparking. One directly in front of the main building and the other located to the rear of the hotel. |

Mid Winter Xmas comes in July with Jolly packages, these are just some of the winter events to come and experience. |
