Open the gold-rimmed doors of the Hotel Gritti Palace and experience Venetian romance sixteenth century style.
Situated on the Grand Canal in Venice with incomparable views, the Hotel Gritti Palace was built in 1525 as the residence of Andrea Gritti, the Doge of Venice and is just a short walk from Venice's elite shopping district and principal attractions.

With an ornately hand painted grand piano, intricately woven rugs, marble tiles, and finely painted gold-trimmed ceilings, the Hotel Gritti Palace preserves within its walls stories of illustrious visitors and royal families.
Renowned for its discreet, attentive service and elegant luxury, the Hotel Gritti Palace has been named one of the "Best of the Best," one of the "Top 75 Resorts in Europe," and to the Gold List Reserve by Condé Nast Traveler in 2005.

Complemented by luxurious comfort and attentive service, the refined settings of the 91 guest rooms and suites incorporate the latest in modern technology. In fact, all rooms offer in-room movies and High Speed Internet Access.
Precious fabrics, beautiful antique furnishings and mirrors, and Murano glass light fittings are all embraced by walls which bring back to life memories and anecdotes from over five centuries of history and intrigue.
Each guest room is unique. The breathtaking views of the Grand Canal and authentic antique mobilia in our Grand Canal View double rooms enrich any stay in Venice.
Adorned with hand-painted wood and precious fabrics, our Venetian-style Double rooms offer a romantic ‘700 atmosphere.
An elegant imperial-style, high ceilings, and rich marble bathrooms distinguish our large Deluxe double rooms.

Taste fine Italian cuisine and culinary delights at the Club del Doge restaurant. Featuring local and fresh ingredients from Venice’s own Rialto Market and enchanting views of the Grand Canal, the Club del Doge restaurant is characterized by impeccable service and superb cuisine. With its dominant soft tones of pink, blue and green, the Club del Doge Restaurant welcomes its guests offering a warm, discreet and elegant atmosphere. It can seat 60 guests.
As soon as the spring weather permits, the restaurant moves outdoors onto the splendid Bellavista Terrace on the Grand Canal, facing the famous church of Santa Maria della Salute and offering a breathtaking glimpse of the St. Mark’s Basin.
The Bar Longhi is named after the celebrated 18th century Venetian painter because six paintings of his school hang on the walls.
Entirely redone, with hand-sculpted mirrors and a counter of carved polychromatic marble, the Longhi Bar is small and intimate; it is particularly appreciated for its friendly atmosphere and its elegance.
As soon as the weather permits, tables are set outdoors on the terrace.
