Heritage Accommodation - Circa 1922. This historic home is a fine example of Federation architecture. Guests frequently comment on the relaxed atmosphere at Netherby. Set on the banks of the tranquil Macleay River in the heart of Kempsey and conveniently located midway between Sydney & Brisbane, Netherby is a short drive away from pristine beaches and unspoiled rainforests. 4 Star rating. Come and let your onsite Hosts Karen,Donna & Ivy (the border collie) spoil you. We are located next door to "Brindabella Wedding & Function Centre". Evening meals are available from our menu in our Heritage Dining Room or on the Fairy Lit Balcony (Not available Sunday & Mondays), Please advise us if you require this service at time of booking. We are a BYO establishment. No Smoking applies to all inside areas of the house. There is a book library and board games available on the verandah. Sorry, we are Not Suitable for Children under 12yrs. We do not accept Check-In's later than 10pm, unless by prior arrangement. Our Alfesco Cafe onsite is open from 10am daily, closed Mondays. It offers a huge selection of cakes and the best coffee in town. |

| Getting There |
Travelling north by car on the Pacific Hwy through South Kempsey. Take the next left after Gabriel Street and turn left into Little Rudder Street. Follow down and around bend to the end and into Netherby carpark. Travelling south by car, drive through Main Street (Smith Street). The left hand lane takes you over the Macleay River Bridge. Turn first right after Bridge into Little Rudder Street. Follow down and around bend to end and into Netherby carpark. |

| Things To Do |
Netherby is located on the banks of the beautiful Macleay River, a short walk over the bridge to the main street of town, with shops, hotels & clubs. The small village of Gladstone is 10mins drive with many craft shops to explore again on the Macleay River. Cresent Head Beach is the closest beach, only 15mins drive. Visit South West Rocks and beautiful Hat Head National Park both on the coast. The famous Akubra Hat factory is in Kempsey & has factory tours. Kempsey is also the birth place of Slim Dusty, visit Slim's boyhood home at Nulla Nulla on the way to senic Bellbrook to the west of Kempsey. |
