Akaroa's only waterfront motels. Quite possibly the closest you will ever get to paradise. Enjoy the peace and tranquility right at the waters edge with stunning views over the Akaroa Harbour. Explore the harbour in one of our kayaks from our own private jetty or relax in our private hot tropical spa pool. We are only a minutes stroll to the art and craft shops, restaurants and cafes and other attractions Akaroa has to offer. Our Wai-iti Motel offers one, two and three bedroom family units which can sleep up to 8 persons. These units are all self contained and have Sky TV plus video players in every unit. Our Driftwood Motel has 12 one bedroom units all with water views. Each unit is self contained with Sky TV and DVD players. We also have an extensive video and DVD libarary on site. Driftwood and Wai-iti Motel are Qualmark rated at 3 star plus. With our range of 24 units we are ideal for families, couples, single travellers or as a base for your next conference in Akaroa with all the facilities in the village close by. In the event of a bad days weather there is even a small cinema showing a range of movies each day over the summer season. |

Rates are for 1-2 people. Bedding configuration is 1 Queen in seperate bedroom. Lounge and Kitchen with Hob and Microwave. Day bed in lounge that can sleep one on request ($10 make up fee). Waterfront harbour view only 5m of the water's edge. Rates are for 2 people. Extra adults $20.00. Extra children $20.00. | Getting There |
Akaroa is 90 minutes drive from Christchurch on highway 75. Upon getting to Akaroa turn right down Rue Crox (first street on your right past the Shell Petrol Station) where you will find our enterances on Rue Jolie. |

We have onsite carparking for one car per unit plus we have limited off street parking available for trailers and boats. |
| Things To Do |
Just relax on our waterfront property at one of our many picnic tables and enjoy the stunning harbour views. You are able to swim or hire a boat from our private jetty on our property or maybe take a Wildlife Harbour Cruise and see the world famous Hector Dolphins and other exciting wildlife up close. Nearby we have a number of award winning restaurants and cafes plus many arts and craft stores which are well worth exploring. Biking and hiking are also high on the list of must dos in Akaroa with the many bays and valleys to explore. You amy also wish to dip your rod in the water and see what luck you get, of course our Blue Cod is world famous!! You may also care to treat yourself to a relaxing massage or body treatment at nearby Luminere Health Spa. |
