We hold to eco-friendly systems throughout ie. solar power & hot water, with some wind generation. Book 2 nights & receive complimentary champagne & cheese platter, some guests use this as supper one night. Golden Rain B&B is a hidden gem just minutes from CBD. BIRD WATCHERS this is the place for you!! Set on 25 acres amidst beautiful scenery, this is a very high quality modern Queenslander located on the edge of Warwick, quiet and private away from any town noise. Watch the birds from the verandah, garden or Morgan Park Reserve. When booked in, collect your keys and come & go as you please. Golden Rain B&B offers two well appointed large ensuite rooms, more or less self contained. We have one kingsize room with large ensuite (bath and shower over) and one twin/king room with walk-in shower ensuite. Each room has tea/coffee facilities, small fridge, wide screen LCD TV, DVD player (DVDs available to watch FOC), radio, complementary port and homemade biscuits. The rooms are large and airy with views out to the hills, garden and orchard. There are comfortable chairs & table, space to relax, read or for any business requirement. GUEST MICROWAVE now available. Enjoy the inclusive luxury continental breakfast in the dining room, or in warm weather take it on the verandah, while soaking up the beautiful views. (A cooked course is available at $10 extra p/p). Watch the eastern rosellas, red wings & king parrots feeding nearby or even the little wallaby. There is a wide variety of eating houses in Warwick, nearest restaurant is 1.5km from us, a courtesy drop-off may be available. See lower for GPS directions. From Brisbane/Toowoomba direction head towards Warwick on Cunningham Highway (Route 15), from Warwick Visitor Information Centre on Albion Street follow Cunningham Highway to traffic lights with Wood Street and then right towards Stanthorpe and Goondiwindi along Cunningham Highway. Follow Goondiwindi signs out of town for 5 kilometres, past turnoff for Stanthorpe. Turn left into Lyndhurst Lane, over railway line, continue until Warner Street. Turn left onto Warner Street, then immediately right onto Lyndhurst Lane again. Continue up over hill, across Glen Road to top of next hill, entrance on left. If you reach Schoch Road you have gone too far. From Sydney and the South via Stanthorpe, continue along the New England Highway to traffic lights at the crossroad with the Cunningham Highway (Wood Street), turn left onto the Cunningham Highway and follow Goondiwindi signs out of town for 5 kilometres. Turn left into Lyndhurst Lane, over railway line, continue until Warner Street. Turn left onto Warner Street, then immediately right onto Lyndhurst Lane again. Continue up over hill, across Glen Road to top of next hill, entrance on left. If you reach Schoch Rd. you have gone too far. From Melbourne/Adelaide direction through Goodiwindi, follow Cunningham Highway to entrance to Warwick. Turn right at the 1st crossroad into Lyndhurst Lane, over railway line, continue until Warner Street. Turn left onto Warner Street, then immediately right onto Lyndhurst Lane again. Continue up over hill, across Glen Road to top of next hill, entrance on left. If you reach Schoch Rd. you have gone too far. GPS:- If you are using GPS, the latitude and longitude are: 151.98332 E and 28.23812 S. Do not follow the route along Bracker Road to Lyndhurst Lane as the map is inaccurate, Bracker Road between Tooth St and Lyndhurst Lane does not exist. |

| Things To Do |
Warwick City has many beautiful buildings dating from 1849 onwards with later architecture in our attractive local sandstone. There are many quality craft and gift shops, a museum, Art Gallery and the newly opened Australian Heritage Rodeo Centre. For the more active there is the attractive new aquatic sports centre, the riverside walk including Federation Park where you can visit Tiddilik the huge granite frog of Aboriginal legend, Morgan Park Sporting Complex with historic car races, drag races, eventing, polocrosse events, and the Reserve which is ideal for bird watching. Take a scenic drive to Lake Leslie and go boating, water skiing or fishing. There are National Parks and bushwalking close by and we have 5 scenic drives starting from Warwick. Activities to suit all tastes. |
