Las Vegas Motor Inn is four star motel accommodation centrally located in Tweed Heads - Coolangatta at the southern end of Australia's Gold Coast. The accommodation is in spacious motel rooms with eight channels of free satellite Austar TV displayed on a large 68cm flat screen stereo television. Each room has its own DVD player which can also be used as a CD player. Six of the rooms at our Tweed Heads motel have their own private Spa. The motel has a solar heated pool, free guest BBQ facilities, and is walking distance to all facilities of the twin towns of Tweed Heads and Coolangatta on the NSW-Queensland border. A family run business for twelve years, the Logans invite you to come and stay at their accommodation. A member of the Golden Chain of motor inns we have a AAA rating of FOUR stars. We are easy to find, the pink motel on the main road opposite the Tweed Heads Bowls Club. The Las Vegas Motor Inn is directly across the road from the Tweed Heads Bowls Club, Library, Civic Centre and Southern Cross University. We are only five minutes walk to the Tweed Heads Public Hospital, Tweed Centro Mall with Coles, Woolworths, Target, and a food court, the Tweed River and parks, Tweed AMF Ten Pin Bowling. A ten minute walk will see you at Twin Towns Services Club, the NSW-QLD Border, Coolangatta Beach, and all the restaurants and retail shops of Coolangatta including the ShowCase plaza with a 6 movie theatre Greater Union cinema complex. |

Las Vegas Motor Inn is four star motel accommodation centrally located in Tweed Heads - Coolangatta at the southern end of Australia's Gold Coast. We are easy to find, the pink motel on the main road of Tweed Heads, at 123 Wharf St (old Pacific Hwy before the bypass was built), directly opposite the Tweed Heads Bowls Club. Access by Car from the North - Heading South, the Pacific and Gold Coast Highways merge into one at Tugun, just to the North of Coolangatta airport. Stay in the right hand lane as this road heads south past the airport and you will cross into NSW and start driving on the Tweed Heads bypass. Take the first exit to the left marked Kennedy Drive, Tweed Heads, then left at the roundabout. You are now heading East on Kennedy drive towards Tweed Heads proper. You will then see the bridge over the Terranora Inlet separating Tweed Heads and South Tweed Heads. Don't go under this bridge but stay left instead. Make a right hand merge onto the road coming from the bridge and you will be on Wharf St. The Las Vegas Motor Inn is a few hundred metres to the North after this merge, on the North bound side of the road at 123 Wharf St, Tweed Heads, 2485. Access by Car from the South - Heading North on the Pacific Highway, cross the Tweed River bridge and head up and over Sextons Hill. The road divides in two, the right hand side going onto the Tweed Heads bypass and the left hand side becomes Minjungbal drive as it goes through Tweed Heads South. Stay left for Minjungbal drive and continue on this road and you will cross the bridge over the Terranora Inlet that separates Tweed Heads from South Tweed Heads. Minjungbal drive becomes Wharf St. The Las Vegas Motor Inn is a few hundred metres to the North of the bridge, on the North bound side of the road at 123 Wharf St, Tweed Heads, 2485. Access by Air Qantas, Virgin Blue, Freedom Air, Jetstar, Australian Airlines and Pacific Blue airlines all fly into Coolangatta (OOL) airport (Gold Coast). The motel is a five minute drive away. The taxi fare is less than $15 (Feb/06). The airport has Avis, Thrifty, Budget, Europcar, Hertz car hire agencies at the terminal. Take Terminal Drive and turn right onto the Gold Coast High way. Stay in the right hand lane. Follow instruction above for access by Car from the North. Brisbane airport is a hour and twenty minutes drive to the North of Tweed Heads. When leaving the airport to head south, follow signs towards the city. Follow airport drive to the Gateway Motorway roundabout. Turn left onto the gateway motorway and follow the signs to the Gold Coast heading south. After you pass Coolangatta airport follow driving instructions above for access by car from the north. If you are not driving you can catch the Airtrain which leaves every half an hour for Robina station. Access by Rail From the North. The Gold Coast railway terminates at Robina Station some 20 minutes drive to the North of Tweed Heads. Surfside buslines then run regular services to Tweed Heads on bus 11. Alternately AirtrainConnect arranges for a limousine pickup from Robina station for a direct transfer to the motel. From the South. Catch a bus from Casino to Tweed Heads off the Sydney to Brisbane XPT country link train line. Access by Bus Surfside Bus Lines run services all over the Gold and Tweed Coast. The route No 1 bus (and the 1A bus) travels North and South along the Gold Coast Highway terminating at the Tweed Mall, five minutes walk from the Las Vegas Motor Inn. Walk south from the Mall along the main road for a block and a half to reach the Motel. The route No 11 bus links Robina station and the Tweed Mall. If you don't feel like walking from the mall you can transfer to a route No 601 bus that stops directly outside the motel. (All 600 series bus routes stop outside the motel except the 602) Bus coach companies run services south to Byron and Lismore, and north to Brisbane and the Sunshine coast. These coach lines depart and drop off at Bay St in Tweed Heads opposite the Tweed Mall. Walk down Bay St towards the Tweed Mall then turn right (South) onto Wharf St. The motel is a five minute walk down Wharf St or two blocks. |
