Our GPS co-ordinates are: -40.360768,175.614608 As Palmerston North is a ‘Hub City’ there are a number of ways to enter Palmerston North. Following are directions from the most popular inbound routes. Northbound from Levin via SHW 57 – Turn RIGHT on to Arapaepae Rd and follow SHW 57 signs through to Shannon and Linton. Follow SHW 57 past Linton and onto Tennent Drive and a slight LEFT on to Fitzherbert Avenue. Fitzherbert Castle Motel is on the LEFT hand side approx 1.7kms from Fitzherbert Bridge South East from Sanson (junction of SHW1 & SHW 3 coming from New Plymouth, Wanganui or Taupo) – Follow SHW 3 into Palmerston North. At The Square, turn LEFT and then at the next intersection turn RIGHT (you will still be on The Square). Carry on through the round-a-bout until you come to the next set of traffic lights and then turn RIGHT again then first LEFT. This will bring you on to Fitzherbert Avenue. Motel is located 400 metres up Fitzherbert Avenue on the right hand side. South from Woodville (SHW 3 from Hawke’s Bay) Follow SHW 3 through the Manawatu Gorge and continue on until you come to Napier Rd at Ashhurst. Continue on to Main Street (Napier Rd becomes Main Street) and then turn LEFT at Princess Street. Continue along Princess Street, turn RIGHT at Ferguson Street and then LEFT at Fitzherbert Avenue. Motel is 150 metres on the right hand side from Ferguson St intersection |
