The Godley Resort Hotel overlooks the turquoise waters of stunning Lake Tekapo. We have 80 rooms and can cater for all budgets. Our superior rooms have a fantastic view of the famous turquoise lake and are within walking distance of the lakefront. Our standard rooms are comfortable and clean and have a partial view of the lake. We have a restaurant with a great NZ menu and a cosy bar which stocks a good selection of local beers and wines. A gymnasium and spa pool are available for guest use. Roundhill Skifield is 40 minutes away and is a gentle sloping field that is perfect for families and those learning to ski or board. The Mount John Observatory is 10 mins by car and the renowned Church of the good Shepherd is only 5 mins walking distance from the Hotel. Lake Tekapo is two & a half hours drive from Christchurch and the same from Queenstown, making The Godley Resort the perfect stopover. |

Lake view Room with one double/queen and one single, or one Queen bed. Is one of our newer rooms, and looks out onto the lake. Comfortable, clean and warm. Has Tea and coffee making, TV, phone and ensuite bathroom. Rates are for 2 people. Extra adults $20.00. Extra children $15.00. The room caters for a maximum of 3 adults, and a maximum of 2 children but cannot exceed 3 guests in total. Available bedding configurations:

Business FacilitiesWe have a large (100 seats)and a small (30 seats)conference room and hold many 2-3 day conferences as well as afternoon meetings. Internet access is available in the superior rooms and a kiosk in Reception.Weddings are a regular function as many people, both local and overseas, are married in the local church. Small or large groups can be catered for. |

We are situated on State Highway 8 the blue ribbon tourist route between Christchurch and Queenstown Great Sights and Intercity passenger coach services pass our front doors daily. Mount Cook New Zealands famous iconic mountain is only an hours drive way another reason which makes the Godley Resort a perfect stopover. |

Visit the Church of the Good Shepherd, The Mount John Observatory or in the winter, the Roundhill Skifield. Take a flight over the Southern Alps viewing the highest mountains and glaciers New Zealand has. Fishing, hunting,golfing, mountain bike riding, tramping, hiking, kayaking, boating are all activities available to fill in your day. With our awe-inspiring landscape your camera is a must. Relax in Alpine Springs and Spas hot outdoor pools on the lake edge. Read a book and/or soak up the atmosphere. Take a night tour star gazing and you will appreciate the clear night skies and galaxy of stars. Winter or summer there is always something to do. |
