Public transport and the Brisbane River are only a short walk away, as is the seven-day-a-week shopping village of New Farm, with its restaurants and coffee shops. Also close by is the Brisbane Powerhouse for the Arts and glorious New Farm Park. The Lodge itself resides within a peaceful Asian garden, which offers space for reading, mediation or quiet reflection. This relaxed lifestyle continues indoors. The subtropical decor and unique ambience of the Lodge is enhanced by handcrafted furniture from South-East Asia. All guest rooms are ensuited and equipped with reverse cycle air conditioning and heating. There is a modern laundry for guest use and optic-fibre broadband internet access is included in the tariff. Room sleeps two persons in a double bed with breakfast bar and ensuite attached.A third person or 1 child may be accomodated in a king size single bed at an additional cost of $15 per room per night. Rates are for 2 people. Extra adults $15.00. Extra children $15.00. The room caters for a maximum of 3 adults, and a maximum of 1 child but cannot exceed 3 guests in total. Edward Lodge is located at 75 Sydney Street New Farm on the corner of Sydney Street and Lower Bowen Terrace. It is a short taxi ride from the City or alternately, catch the 195,196 or 197 bus to New Farm Park. The Lodge is one minute walk from the bus stop. |
