Nestled on the banks of the majestic River Murray, in South Australia, The Renmark Hotel was established as the first Community owned Hotel in the British Empire in 1897; the Hotel is owned and operated by the local community its profits being returned to the community by way of donations and sponsorships. A fact we at the Hotel are very proud of. Rated as a self rated 3.5 property the Renmark Hotel has the complete range of accommodation. From 30 comfortable 3 star Ensuite Hotel Rooms, to the luxurious 4.5 Star Riverview Balcony Suites, there is a style of accommodation to suite everybody with most Motel suites offering Balconies and river views. The Renmark Hotel has now completed the most progressive refurbishment in its 109 year history. A 3.5 million dollar refurbishment of the ground floor has brought an all new Bistro, with an Al Fresco Deck overlooking the Murray River, new Sports & Entertainment bar and new gaming room. The refurbishment has brought to life modern comfortabe facilities second to none whilst maintaining our art deco heritage. Breakfast is served daily with dining on the deck overlooking the Murray River. All day lunch is served from 11.30am through to 4.30pm featuring grazing platters and lighter Cafe style dishes. 5.30PM brings our new dinner menu served late into the night. A full range of gourmet coffees, speciality cakes, muffins & biscuits are available all day with open fires and over 34 wines served by the glass we offer the complete dining experience. Ask about our easy fuel offer to recieve up to 10c a litre of your petrol when dining in the new bISTRO. The Renmark Hotel offers the largest SIP’N’SAVE Drive Inn Bottle shop in the Riverland with a selection of South Australian wines second to none. Renmark Cellars stocks a huge range of local and interstate discounted beer at city prices, we can even help with your with bait for that huge Murray Cod you’re going to catch. Deluxe Balcony Suite
Bedding is king size bed with quilt, double innerspring sofa bed. 4.5 Star Deluxe Suites have all the luxuries you expect, sweeping river views, DVD, Microwave & card lock entry. Rates are for 2 people. Extra adults $15.00. Extra children $15.00. The room caters for a maximum of 4 adults, and a maximum of 2 children but cannot exceed 4 guests in total. The tallest building in Renmark, the Hotel is found on palm lined Murray Avenue which runs adjacent to the Murray River. The hotel complex is opposite the Tourist and Information centre and Stateliner Bus depot, on the Banks of the Murray River. Find the Lawned area on the banks of the river you will find us. 2.5 hours from Adelaide and 1.5 hours from Mildura. |

Riverfront walk Take a walk along the Renmark riverfront interpretive walk. The 5km walk interprets historical information on the town and river. After sunset hand feed the possums on the lawns right in front of the Hotel. Angove’s winery Angove's wines can be found in over 30 different countries around the globe. Angove’s over the past 77 years have had particular success in their St Agnes Brandy being awarded 16 trophies including three “Worlds Best” 50 Gold medals and over 133 silver and bronze medals in the past 25 years. The oldest family winery in Australia Angoves is open for wine tasting 7 days. Banrock Station Banrock Wine and Wetland Centre learn more about our conservation programs and see the Banrock Station wetlands that are being rejuvenated attracting bird life back to the area. Sample a superb range of wines whilst lunching on the al fresco decks overlooking the world renouned Wetlands. Ruston’s Rose garden Ruston’s Rose garden is the largest rose garden in the Southern hemisphere and hosts a glorious mix of modern and heritage roses of all kinds and colours. River Cruising Begin your stay with a cruise on the Big River Rambler with two daily koala cruises from the town wharf, while the historic paddle – steamer, PS Industry, makes its way down the river on the first Sunday of every month. Olivewood Estate The watershed in Renmark history was the development of the irrigation schemes in the late 1880s that turned this countryside into Australia’s food bowl. Canadian born Chaffey brothers are often called the founders of Renmark. Their original home Olivewood is now a national trust museum and gives an insight in the history of Renmark. Chowilla Station and reserve Just 40kms from Renmark are a wealth of natural, historic and cultural experiences. Chowilla station is a place where you can experience the Riverland at its most natural, stay in the shearer’s quarters, hire a canoe, and explore bushland. Camping tours are available.
