Nestled amongst the coastal dunes and just metres from the spectacular 13th Beach Surf Coast, the Barwon Heads Golf Club is rated one of Australia's Top 10 public access courses.

The magnificent Clubhouse, recently listed by Heritage Victoria and the National Trust, is famed for its ambience and old world charm. With stunning architecture and captivating views, it is a Clubhouse designed for all seasons. House guests can enjoy the open balconies in summer or the luxurious open fires during the cooler months.

Upstairs, there are 19 refurbished (2012) ensuite rooms, and a variety of packages are available incorporating your stay with golf, dining and entertainment. Rooms are classified either 'Standard' or 'Balcony', the latter being slightly larger and sharing access to a large balcony that overlooks the course and the Barwon Coast. Some standard rooms have views of the course and/or ocean glimpses but not all so views from every room cannot be guaranteed. (You are welcome to call us if you need more information.) Other facilities include tennis courts, billiards, a driving range and professional shop. Take some well-earned time off and be enchanted by 100 years of golfing history.

PLEASE NOTE: A DRESS CODE applies on course AND for guests staying in the accommodation facilities of the Clubhouse. House Guests are required to be appropriately attired at all times I.e. No denim, t-shirts, beachwear or thongs and a jacket is required if dining in the more formal areas of the Clubhouse after 6pm. Smart golfing attire is appropriate in other areas. The Club is renowned as an exclusive and prestigious golfing destination and is proud of its 100+ years of golfing history. As such, the accommodation facilities are not geared towards families with very young children and are not the most appropriate in the area. If staying during the January Beach House promotion, the Club appreciates that visits to the beach will be made, but requires guests to respect the dress code upon returning to the Clubhouse.
As the club is private, the restaurant and bars within the clubhouse are only open to members of the public who are staying as house guests.

After golf, guests can take advantage of the Club's ideal location in the seaside village of Barwon Heads. The boutiques and cafes of the village are only a short stroll down the road and the beach is so close many rooms have ocean views. There is so much to do on the Bellarine. Water activities abound, ranging from gentle bay beaches that are great for families and fishing to sensational surf beaches and world-class scuba diving sites. The Peninsula has also been building a reputation as a food and wine destination and the Bellarine Taste Trail brings together many of the gourmet offerings of the region including wineries, restaurants and cafes and producers of beer, fresh produce, goats cheese, olive oil and seafood. See http://www.visitgeelongbellarine.com.au/ for more information. For day-trips, the ferry from Queenscliff to Sorrento is not far away or a drive along the famed Great Ocean Road is a grand experience.

Note: When available, there may be a special promotion offered titled 'Course Coring Deal'.
The Barwon Heads Golf Club is renowned for its exceptional greens. To achieve this standard, biannual maintenance called ‘course coring’ is carried out that affects the greens for a few days. The greens are still perfectly playable, just not as exceptional as usual.
There are still the immaculate fairways, Par 3 course, practice facilities, tennis courts, Clubhouse, billiards, dining facilities and acclaimed BHGC hospitality to enjoy.
