The Grange Guesthouse is a centrally located Victorian Mansion offering a high standard of comfortable and affordable accommodation. Built in 1874 our historic homestead has eight comfortable and tastefully decorated bedrooms with private bathroom facilities. Alternatively you may choose to stay in one of our new apartments which are very spacious, modern and private. We have both one-bedroom apartments and studio apartments available, both have a kitchenette, queen bedroom, private ensuite, sky TV and overlook onto a lovely, private courtyard. Guests are welcome to relax in the Mansion's spacious lounge and read a book from our extensive book collection or use our high-speed internet access to keep in touch with family back home. The Grange is situated on the highly popular tourist tram route and a short walk from all of Christchurch's 'must-see' attractions. Only 100 metres walk away is the acclaimed Christchurch Art Gallery and a mere five minute walk will lead you to many of Christchurch's most popular visitor sites including the Arts Centre, the Botanic Gardens, the Museum, Cathedral Square and the Casino. We also have a huge number of restaurants, cafes and bars to choose from within walking distance. |

From Christchurch Airport follow the signs into the City Centre, follow Hagley Park around until you get to Armagh Street, we are at number 56 on the right-hand side just after the first set of traffic lights. If driving from elsewhere please refer to a central city map, we are located at 56 Armagh Street opposite Cramner Square. |

| Things To Do |
There are many attractions and places to visit here in the Garden City and with us being so central guests are able to walk everywhere and sight-see at their pace. The Grange recommends that a visit to Christchurch is not complete without taking a wander through the historic Arts Centre, visit their weekend market and buy a few local crafts to take home. Wander up to the Christchurch Mueseum and learn about Canterbury's early settlers and the development of the city then take time out and relax in the Botanic Gardens, a great place to unwind and enjoy the scenery. Make sure that you visit Cathedral Square, Christchurch's centre and a great place to recharge with a cup of coffee and watch the world go by. Visit the new Art Gallery(admission free)and be inspired by the ever-changing displays. When the sun is out how about taking a bus up to the Gondola where you can enjoy spectacular 360 degree views of Christchurch and the surrounding Banks Peninsula, or take a walk through Sumner Village by the sea. |
