Charwell Lodge Boutique Bed and Breakfast near Hanmer Springs offers their guests all this, and more: Seven kilometres from the village, the Lodge is set high above the Hanmer River with panoramic views of both the Waiau River and the Hanmer Mountains. All rooms have outside access to our Jacuzzi and Spa, manicured Lawns and landscaped terraced gardens all planted in NZ natives attracting a variety of native birds. Waking to the early morning birdsong may be a highlight of your visit. Guests love the ambience of this Lodge with its spacious Lounge, large open Log fire and relaxed and friendly Hosts. A small Kitchenette with microwave, Fridge complimentary tea, coffee and home baked cookies plus fresh flowers and chocolates in your room add to the many comforts provided. Breakfast is served in the family-dining room, fresh farm eggs, fresh fruit, homemade bread, muffins & jams. This may be enjoyed at the dining table or outside on the Patio. |

| Getting There |
Guests must arrive by car. Travelling on Highway 7 to the West Coast turn onto highway 7A to Hanmer Springs. Shortly after turning onto 7A you will cross the Historic Waiau Ferry Bridge (Bungy Jumping) travel on down the hill approx 1 Km to signs on the right indicating Medway Road, Braemar Lodge, Hamner River Holidy Park & Charwell Lodge. Turn right onto this road for 500 metres to Charwell Lodge sign on right. Proceed up the steep drive on the right and Charwell lodge is the second turn of on the right. |
