Merdeka Palace Hotel & Suites is ideally located in the middle of old Kuching, next to the Sarawak Museum. Take a ride in the city tram which is free of charge and visit the Sunday Market (only opens on Saturday and Sunday) where you can find all kind of jungle products. The oldest street in the City is called the Main Bazaar. If you are a handicraft lover or simply to get better acquainted with the local product, then come to Main Bazaar or India Street. About 40 minutes drive from Kuching is the Sarawak Cultural Village, popularly known as the "Living Museum". Here, visitors can sample Sarawak's cultural diversity under one roof. You will be able to see models of houses that represent every major ethnic group in Sarawak and then enjoy a multi-cultural dance performance in a comfortable air-conditioned theatre. |
