Opened in July 2002, Lorenzo Motor Lodge is a Tuscany style complex with 12 luxuriously appointed suites. There are 6 studios, 4 one bedroom suites and 2 x two bedroom suites. Six of the suites have a double spa bath, private courtyard and/or balcony.

Lorenzo is situated just 250 metres from beautiful Hagley Park and the Botanical Gardens at 36 Riccarton Road. In the central area of Riccarton, Lorenzo is well situated and close by a number of quality restaurants, cafe's and Westfield Shopping Mall. Hagley Park provides a wonderful recreational area with a golf course, grass tennis courts, other sports areas and garden walks.

Lorenzo is 5 minutes from the City Centre, Christchurch Public and Womans Hospitals, Christchurch Railway Station, Westpac Trust sport and entertainment centre and the thoroughbred and harness racing venues of Riccarton Park and Addington. A leisurely 10 minute drive from Christchurch International Airport makes Lorenzo a great first and last stop with your travel plans.

Lorenzo Motor Lodge is a Qualmark rated property of 4 star plus quality that always impresses our guests. Your hosts, Mary & Mike Small, take a personal pride in the presentation of each room to ensure every guest is made to feel as though they were at home.

Our rooms are furnished with high quality bedding and Sheridan linen, and the kitchens each have a microwave, jug and toaster with the one and two bedroom suites having an electric frypan. There is two ring haub in each 2 bedroom apartment and a portable haub and saucepans are available if required. There is a dedicated high speed data point in each room with loan cat 5 cables available for your internet connection. Lorenzo has 10 Sky digital channels including two sport and two movie channels for your entertainment. Each room is equipped with an iron and ironing board together with a hair dryer in the bathroom.

Business facilities
Each room has a comfortable table for business work and if you are travelling with your laptop computer, you have broadband, high speed internet connection directly into your room. Two payment plans are available, either 30 cents per minute or $10.00 per day (24 hours from the time you first connect). Special payment plans are available for longer stays. Our office also provides a fax and photocopying service for your needs.

Getting There	From Christchurch International Airport, a Blue Star, First Direct or Gold Band taxi will cost you around $35.00 (there is a $7.00 surcharge for taxis to depart the Airport). We recommend that you only use one of these three companies. If you have a rental car, travel from the airport along Memorial Avenue into Fendalton Road. Turn right at the 'T' at Hagley Park and proceed through the next intersection to the round about at Riccarton Road. Turn right into Riccarton Road and proceed for about 250 meters where Lorenzo Motor Lodge is on your right at No. 36. Driving into the city from South or West, proceed down Riccarton Road from Main South Road or Yaldhurst Road. Lorenzo is at 36 Riccarton Road on your left. From the north you will enter the city via Papanui. Turn right at Bealey Avenue and cross the bridge into Harper Avenue around Hagley Park. Turn right into Riccarton Road at the round about and Lorenzo is on your right some 250 metres along. We may be able to meet flights or the trains so please ask at the time of your reservation or nearer the time of your arrival.
Parking	Free off-street parking close to your room is available for one vehicle. If you have more than one vehicle and/or a trailer, these can be accommodated upon request. The car park is covered by 24 hour security cameras with recording data.
Things To Do	Some of Christchurch's best attractions are within 20 minutes of Lorenzo Motor Lodge. The Antartic Centre located near Christchurch International Airport will intrigue you for around 90 minutes. Enjoy a ride on the Hagglund tractors used at Antartica and enter the ice room which is a simulation of life outside on Antartica. We hold a concession family pass for entry to the Antarctic Centre. There are two wildlife parks where you can see animals first hand. Orana Park where larger animals of the world range in the open or are caged and Willowbank where young children can get up close to number of New Zealand animals and our famous icon the Kiwi. We hold 10% discount vouchers for you and your family to visit the Willowbank Wildlife Reserve. Here you can enjoy the 'Ko Tane' Maori Cultural display (voucher not applicable for 'Ko Tane') before or after dinner. The Christchurch Tram and Gondola are easily accessible from Lorenzo. We hold concession passes to both of these attractions. A brief walk will have you in the Botanical Gardens where you can hire a boat for a paddle on the Avon River or a quiet punt with some one else doing the pushing. Christchurch is well off for recreational activities including, quality golf courses, jet boating, snow skiing and of course the many and varied conducted tours throughout and around the city. These can be arranged by your hosts, Mary & Mike Small. If your travel plans are taking you south, we can pre-book your tours to Fiordland (Doubtful and Milford Sounds) with Real Journeys, who are specialists and come with excellent accreditation for tourism in this area. There is no additional charge for this service at Lorenzo.
