In the very heart of Kakadu and adjacent to Yellow Waters and Home Billabong, is Gagudju Lodge Cooinda. This sought after destination in the vibrant Northern Territory is a wonderful base to explore Kakadu National Park. It contains powered and unpowered campsites for camping and caravans, budget style accommodation and even serviced lodge rooms to cater for a variety of travellers, and boasts to be the most central location to Kakadu’s attractions. Yellow Water Cruises and Kakadu Gorge and Waterfall Cruises depart here, and a tour desk is located on site. The lodge has a bar and bistro for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It also has a petrol station, general store, and a feature is it’s large lagoon style pool with BBQ facilities to unwind after a day’s exploring. Gagudju Lodge Cooinda is indigenous owned and has an active and ongoing indigenous employment program, especially with its tour staff. |

Rates and cruise are based on twin share, maximum occupancy per room is 4 people. Children are no additional charge for accommdation. Bedding configuration is 1 x Queen Bed and either 1 or 2 single beds. Rates are for 2 people. Extra adults $124.00. Extra children $67.00. | Getting There |
Located approximately 3 hours drive from Darwin, Gagudju Lodge Cooinda is situated within the centre of Kakadu National Park. When driving from Darwin, turn left off the Stuart Highway onto the Arnhem Highway and continue along for a few hundred kilometres. Turn right onto the Kakadu Highway, and follow this road for 54kms, until you reach the turnoff to Cooinda on the right hand side of the road. Follow this road straight to the end, where Gagudju Lodge Cooinda is located. Access from Katherine is also approximately 3 hours travelling time. Turn right off the Stuart Highway onto the Kakadu Highway, and then left onto the Cooinda turnoff once inside Kakadu National Park. Follow this road straight to the end, where Gagudju Lodge Cooinda is located. Public transport to Gagudju Lodge Cooinda is also available by bus.
