The Vineyards Estate is a unique, 5 star guesthouse retreat set amidst its own private vineyard, with glorious views out to the Brokenback Mountains. Each spacious suite is designed to be your private haven, featuring lounge area with open Fire Place, King bed, ensuite with Spa, Plasma TV with CD/DVD player,Luxurious L'occitane bathroom amenities and additions like Robes, Slippers, Loofah, plus air conditioning. Packages (excluding ROOM ONLY) include a Complimentary arrival Mini Bar with a bottle of Bubbles, Boutique Beer, deluxe spirits & nibbles all for you to enjoy free! A stay at the property would not be complete without a dinner experience in the properties award winning restaurant, Restaurant Botanica. Restaurant Botanica was named the 2009 Best New Restaurant, Best Comprehensive Wine list and Best Regional Wine List at the Restaurant and Catering Awards (Hunter). We have carefully designed a menu and wine list to compliment our relaxed vineyard surroundings, seeking to present the freshest, and highest quality produce available. Dine alfresco in Summer and enjoy the roaring fire in Winter. The restaurant is open Wednesday to Sunday from 6pm. Leisurely breakfasts are also a must at the Vineyards Estate. Your appetite will be teased with the aroma of freshly baked croissants and pastries and house made jams. Do nothing or do everything - the choice is yours. Recreational pursuits include a saltwater swimming pool & outdoor spa, a full size tennis court, a unique garden golf putting course, Boules Court, extensive DVD library, and relaxing vineyard walks. If you venture out, winery tours are available from your doorstep, hot air ballooning, galleries, antiques and wineries are a leisurely five to ten minute drive away. | Getting There |
Directions from Sydney and Central Coast Coming from Sydney, take the Cessnock, Kurri Kurri turn-off from the freeway. Travel the 29 kilometres from the freeway into Cessnock. Turn right into Cessnock's main street (Vincent Street). At the end of Vincent Street turn left at the traffic lights and then right into Allandale Road. Travel some 7 kilometres along Allandale Road. Be sure not to take the first VINEYARD SIGN turn to your right. You will go past a new golf course on your right and the Cessnock airport, and Tourist Information Centre is on the left. Just past the airport veer into the left lane and turn left into Broke Road. Travel up Broke Road passing Rothbury Winery on your right, turn left at McDonalds Road with a sharp turn right into Broke Road again. You'll see a sign 'Hunter Valley Garden Lodge' on your left. Travel along Broke Road some 5 kilometres and take the first turn to your right into HERMITAGE ROAD. The Vineyards Estate is situated 7 kilometres along Hermitage Road on the right. We're well sign posted and of a night well lit, so you shouldn't have too many problems finding us. |

| Things To Do |
There are more than 100 wineries and vineyards to visit all within a 5 to 10 minute drive from The Vineyards Estate. Plenty of restaurants, galleries, pottery, glass blowing, horse riding, golf, tennis, bush walks and ballooning, plus bike, bus and horse drawn carriage tours are all available. If you wish to venture a little further, take a 60 minute drive to the coast for fishing, surfing and whale watching. |
