10 minutes by taxi from the airport. 15 minutes from the city CBD by taxi or tram. Tram stop less than a minute's walk from the motel. If driving follow Anzac Highway right to the very end, this is as far as you can go as you're on the seafront. Then turn left onto Colley Terrace and we are at the southern end nearest Jetty Road. |

| Things To Do |
The Ensenada Motor Inn, enjoying its reputation as the centre-point of historic Glenelg is ideally situated opposite the beach, overlooking picturesque Colley Reserve and the blue waters of Holdfast Bay. All Glenelg has to offer is only a minute's walk from our front door. The Stamford Grand Hotel is truly a magnificent landmark for Glenelg. The Grand provides the focus for many activities; conventions, dining and other activities in Glenelg, and is only a minute's walk from the Ensenada. Glenelg Beach is located 50 metres west of the Ensenada, with Colley Reserve providing a picturesque park in between. Glenelg Beach has always been Adelaide's favourite summer retreat. Popular for its safe swimming and cleanliness, Glenelg Beach is a colourful rainbow of sailboards and sunsets. Hire a catamaran, fish from the jetty or just laze on the soft white sands. Just 50 metres south of the motel is Jetty Road and Moseley Square, offering a full range of shopping and dining with its casual village atmosphere. Glenelg is the hub of dining out in Adelaide. Seafood, Mexican, Italian, Thai, Greek, Indian and Australian cuisines to name a few abound, with dining from alfresco to black tie available all within a minute's walk. The Holdfast Shores and Marina Pier opened in December 1999 and is located only a one-minute walk north of the Ensenada. A nautical atmosphere abounds, with the Pier boasting residential apartments, an arcade of shops and restaurants, all centred on a marina for yachts. Future stages include a luxury hotel, more seaside residential apartments and water sport facilities. Ride a historic 1929 tramcar to the city centre and visit Rundle Mall, Adelaide Convention Centre, Adelaide Exhibition Hall and the Adelaide Casino, all just a short walk from the tram stop. The Glenelg Tram departs from Moseley Square every 20 minutes for the city and journeys along Jetty Road and through parklands. This most efficient transport service is only a one minute walk from the Ensenada. Glenelg is Adelaide's City by the Sea - only 9km from the City of Adelaide, close to the airport, golf courses, racecourse and only a short drive to the McLaren Vale Wineries and the beautiful Adelaide Hills. All this less than a minute's walk from our front door. |
