"Meeting, Living, Entertainment – Everything under One Roof" – that's the motto of the Estrel Berlin, Europe's largest convention, entertainment & hotel complex. The Estrel, comprising a multifunctional Convention Center, the 4-star-plus Hotel – which is at the same time Germany's largest hotel with its 1,125 rooms – and also including an entertainment programme in the Festival Center, very soon made itself a name with it's concept, both nationally and internationally. In October 1994, the Estrel Hotel was opened and has been in service ever since, with its 1,125 rooms and suites, all of them appointed with distinguished taste and accommodated in the four wings of the building. With a variety of five restaurants and three bars, with trees - metres high - and the big ceramic fountain, the Atrium is inviting guests to meet and stay. A mini-supermarket, the SIXT car rental agency and the business center round off the services offered. In addition, the Estrel has its own landing stage located in its beer garden, from where sight-seeing and boat tours are offered. In 1997 the Estrel Festival Center was added; ever since, "Stars in Concert", the Las-Vegas-style live show, as well as numerous special shows have been performed every day (except Tuesdays) in the former factory, which was converted into a showroom and equipped with permanently installed light and sound systems. Business FacilitiesAccess to professional office equipment and technology is available to guests in the Business Center and further services, including secretarial, can be arranged on request. Furtermore guest can book special equipped business-rooms with acess to the Internet as well as fax and printer. WLAN is available in the atrium, in the restaurants, in the conference rooms of the hotel ground floor and in the whole Estrel Convention Center.The Estrel has the advantage of being easily accessible by both private and public transport. Sonnenallee S-Bahn station is a mere 250 metres away, while bus route M41, which stops right outside the hotel, connects with the U-Bahn and the Potsdamer Platz. The autobahn exit at Grenzallee optimizes access by car. An experience of a very special kind is provided by the hotel’s own train station, which enables groups of guests to board charter trains laid on by Deutsch Bahn AG to and from all German cities. Last but not least the hotel has its own landing stage in the Estrel Biergarten in front of the hotel, from which the hotel, in association with the Stern- und Kreisschifffahrt shipping company, offers regular city tours and boat trips into the surrounding countryside. Guests may also, of course, charter boats on an exclusive basis for special occasions outside the regular timetable. From November to December, for example, the restaurant ship MS Luna will lie at anchor also in the evenings, providing an ideal setting for Christmas celebrations. |

Night entertainment At the Estrel Festival Center (connected to the Estrel Hotel)world-class stars are on the stage, side by side and night after night, singing their hits live and enjoying their audience's frenetic applause: Cher, Elvis, Elton John, Sting, Boy George, The Four Tops, Jennifer Lopez, Jerry Lee Lewis or Tina Turner. Nowhere in the world can you see so many top-class stars on the stage all at once. In the Estrel there you see them every night – and that live on stage – in the legendary show of look-alikes: "Stars in Concert". "Stars in Concert" plays with optical illusions, making it the "vision of perfect illusion". Also their voices are of overwhelming similarity with which the stars emulate their great originals. Bernhard Kurz, the musical-hit producer, has been presenting his tribute to the world's greats of yesterday and today in Berlin for more than seven years, and this with mounting success. Audiences of almost 2 million have admired the "Stars in Concert" in the shows at the Estrel, in numerous galas and events as well as in the stars' guest performances.
