The Golden Gate Lodge Cromwell backs onto a 18 hole golf course and can be the starting point for a fantastic getaway holiday, whether you want to play 18 holes of golf or tour the local vineyards. Lake Dunstan is a short 5 min walk from the lodge with excellent fish and walking. Cromwell has numerous boat ramps located around the lake and the Golden Gate Lodge has plenty of parking for both car and boat.

Getting There	Heading south from Mt Cook turn right off Highway 8 onto Highway 6, as you approach Cromwell the Golden Gate Lodge is immediately on your left, situated off Barry Avenue. Heading North from Queenstown turn off Highway 6, turn right into Barry Avenue and the Golden Gate Lodge is situated on the corner. All bus services will stop at the Golden Gate Lodge if requested.

Things To Do	While in Cromwell entertain the idea of a relaxing round of golf, touring the local vineyards and taking in the sites of the spectacular Central Otago. This area is full of history dating back to the early gold mining days. Follow the heritage trail and learn and explore the old mining huts and caves that are situated through out the region. Spend the afternoon fishing with an experienced guide who knows the local water and can lead you to a fantastic time on Lake Dunstan. Get the same guide to take you fly fishing in some of the best waters in NZ.
